A walk in the woods...

Last Sunday my wife Annie, our 2 dogs, and myself climbed into an area we hoped would be holding some wintering-elk.  Curious if any of the big bulls had started to drop their antlers, we picked our way through cliff bands and timber in search of.

After watching 2 wolves hunt their way along an adjacent ridgline; we were stoked to see (antlered) elk, deer, moose, and a couple bald eagles.  -sweet!  On our way back to the truck, we snapped a couple photos of some Bighorns.

Here's a few pics...

Pass the Belt...

A quick jaunt up north for a half day hog hunt has made K. Sloan the new hog slaying champion.  After a short stock on a big boar, blown by a long range miss by myself, Briker and Kevin spotted this massive hog bedded in a distant wallow.  Following a stock to 35 yards, the hog was destined to become the main course of an office BBQ.  By the way, Brinker blew the video again!sloanhog_smallwallow_smalltopofridge_small

Exceptional Feedback From The North..

This was sent to me via email from Michael Green of Midnight Sun Safaris and I wanted to share......

Alaska Guide License #5362.

".....I have tried and tested many types of gear in that time for many companies. Some gear was good, some bad, and some left me ugly and uncomfortable due to its in-efficiency and poor construction. However, this fall hunting season was completely different. I purchased the Storm Front jacket and pants, undershirt, and several hats. The gear was very comfortable to wear, functional, and above all it did what it said it would do as raingear. I kept me dry day after day after day! I especially like the hats. Although they are light weight and pack great into a pocket, they really kept my head warm under my hood..."

"....Also I would like to point out that every client (12) that came through our camp had at least TWO articles of Sitka Gear on. Every single client raved about Sitka Gear! Never has that happened in all my years of guiding. Thank you Sitka Gear..."
