A walk in the woods...

Last Sunday my wife Annie, our 2 dogs, and myself climbed into an area we hoped would be holding some wintering-elk. Curious if any of the big bulls had started to drop their antlers, we picked our way through cliff bands and timber in search of.
After watching 2 wolves hunt their way along an adjacent ridgline; we were stoked to see (antlered) elk, deer, moose, and a couple bald eagles. -sweet! On our way back to the truck, we snapped a couple photos of some Bighorns.
Here's a few pics...

you bet! And i'm glad you raise the point. Coming off of a hard winter; the animals can certainly use all the rest and reinforcement they can get. Your comment is an excellent one. Thanks!.

While you enjoyed your walk in woods did you consider wonder what impact your having on the wintering game? Spring is a critical time of year! Not trying to put the damper on your outting just a gentle remimder.

close... just south of H.L., but diagonally adjacent to the SW Ridge of the peak (you know which one). From there; about 2.34 miles (as the crow flys) to that HUGE burn(the one w/ ancient hieroglyphics). Then yea, between the T.R., W.C., and B.S. drainages... and everything to the west. FULL of animals!! Good eye! :)
