Without a doubt the most popular new addition to our Whitetail line in 2011

The Fanatic Jacket incorporates an asymmetrical zipper so we could add a built in hand muff.

Bridging the gap between the Incinerator and Stratus series... the Fanatic debuted at ATA

Hi Vincent! Thanks for the note! If it's raining off and on, we like to sit in our GORE-TEX® Downpour Gear over the Fanatic, not taking it off and on, as you'd mentioned. Like all the peices we build, the Fanatic is really designed for specific conditions, and the Sitka System is designed to help you adapt as conditions change. The 'all-in-one' mentality that's dominated hunting for so long has resulted in gear that's mediocre in every situation, and we're striving to be different and better. Hope that makes sense, but if you want to chat, please give us a call at 877.SITKA.GR.
I'm would love to purchase your fanatic series outfit for archery season. However bowhunting primarily in the Catskills we experience plenty of wet weather. I understand your concerns about the noise factor if you waterproof this series. However the last thing you want to do in your stand when rain is on and off is to start putting on rain gear. I've hunted with some very quiet waterproof garments over the years. It would be the ultimate outfit if you can offer the fanatic series with a waterproof layer. With the quality your company puts out I'm convinced it would be plenty quiet to arrow a whitetail. Lets not forget how uncomfortable your day can be if you have to sit on a wet tree stand seat for a few hours. Windstopper doesn't help that situation. Please consider. I know of a few people including myself that are holding out on this outfit because its not waterproof.
@Laura - Your husband is a lucky man! The dealers below should have the Fanatic Jacket in XXL. Let us know if you these options don't work out and we'll help you further. Happy Holidays!

I need to get the fanatic jacket in a 2xl for my husband for xmas and it is no where to be found. Can you please HELP ME????
Hi Keith!

Give us a call at 877.SITKA.GR. We haven't had any complaints about the rangefinder pocket getting in the way of a rifle. As for pairing the Fanatic with the Kelvin, this will be very warm. The only issue you may run into is waterproofness. The Incinerator has it, while the Fanatic does not. You can easily cover the gap, though, with a good set of rain gear. Fee free to call with any questions! 877.SITKA.GR. Thanks.
Does the range finder pocket get in the way for a rt handed riflr shooter mounting and unmounting a rifle. Also I'm torn between this jacket and the incinerator for a gun hunt to Ontario this november. I already have a Kelvin jacket so I think the fanatic should be warm enoghf for for long days on stand with the added Kelvin. What's your thoughts.
@Slade-You bet! You can order direct from our website... we ship to the Great White North.
I have searched high and low in Manitoba, Canada and plenty of Canadian sites trying to get this gear and for the same prices and the only site you guys recommend for Canadian buyers is priced around $460 for the jacket alone. Is there any way I could get shipping straight from Sitka? Or are there any other reccomendations?
I've been reading alot on the sitka gear, looks like some great products. I've been wearing some expensive wools and I'm not happy with them. I hunt in MI in the UP during rifle season and muzzleloader, I'm looking for something warm, and waterproof for snow/rain. I do all day sits on stand in either cold and snowy or cold and rainy weather. I'm wondering if I should be looking at the Fanatic line or the Incinerator line, what do you think?

Thanks for your help
Anybody layering the Fanatic with the full Kelvin jacket as opposed to the vest? Worried about unnecessary bulk in the arms...
@Tom- Thanks for your comment. We won't be making the Fanatic in any other patternsm as we feel OPTIFADE Forest is THE pattern for tree stand hunting. OPTIFADE Forest is scientifically designed for making the human form invisible to ungulate vision at extreme angles and close engagement distances. Check it out, and we hope you agree!

So far I am very impressed with the design. Are you planning on making different camo patters like Realtree AP? I hope you do. I am looking forward to trying the jacket on soon. Thanks for keeping bowhunters in mind!
Hi Greg,

We likely won't make it in solids, but we'll keep you posted on future developments if we make waterfowl-specific gear.

Thanks,
Sitka Team
Will the fanatic jacket be available in solid colors? The day that tan or olive drab is offered for duck hunters is the day that Sitka takes the market.

Like Mark said, give me a call here at our office. I would be more than happy to talk about the best gear for you to start out with. I look forward to hearing from you!
Brad~

You should definitely give Andrew Bounds a call at Sitka... he'll give you some ideas on how to get your Sitka System started... his number is 877-748-5247... then I think you dial 1 for customer service.
I'm from South Carolina and do not presently own any Sitka Gear. I'm a bow hundter and was wondering if anyone could make some recommendations on what essential Sitka pieces I should start with. Thanks in advance!

Brad
Just put deposit on it from DIGSS LLC -Can't wait to use it here in Australia!
@ Vladyslav

Glad to hear you are following us all the way from Ukraine! The best place to learn more about the Forest pattern is at www.optifade.com. Since the pattern is not a mimicry type pattern, it should work well for you there.
@ Jerry

The Fanatic should be ready to go by June 1st. We have a lot of orders going out then, so it would be cutting in very close to get it by the 13th. But, the Fanatic will be too warm to wear in June anyway.
hello hunting brothers! I'm from Ukraine.
Please advise, where can I read or watch forest camo reviews? I'd like to buy some Sitka gear, but not sure will it work fine in Ukrainian august-november forest.
thanks!
When will the fanatic jacket and bib be available? Im going on a black bear hunt in Saskatchewan, June 13. will it be available before then?
Tried the fanatic on at the IA Deer Classic this past weekend. It greatly exceeded my expectations. I am putting money aside now for the jacket. It is a must have for a midwest bowhunter. Light, warm, quiet, not to mention invisible to ungulates. Two thumbs way up!!
Jeff Clark, No the Fanatic will not be available in Open Country. All of its features are geared towards sitting still, particularly in a tree. There are some great pieces in the current Open Country line that will be able to meet your demands out West!
[...] 2011 Sitka Fanatic Jacket – Sitka Insight: Another great video covering more details about the newest whitetail line of gear from Sitka for 2011. [...]
Archery hunters here in the west don't often encounter the intense cold temps that our brother and sister archers feel in the Midwest and other environs. However, the Frantic looks to be an excellent piece that we could use. So my question is will it be available in the Open Country pattern?
Thanks,
Jeff Clark

Jeff showed me the Fanatic Jacket and Bibs at the ATA Show and I did a piece on it for my blog. This is exactly what I was looking for to add to my lineup for 2011. It's the perfect treestand suit for hunting whitetails into the late season.
This was among the pieces I zeroed in while stopping in at the Sitka booth while at SHOT. I was very impressed and have plans to add this to my late season quiver. Good job with this one guys!
Thanks J. Simpson, hope to be wearing sitka this fall.
Franco
@Franco, The jacket gfits true to size. I think you would be fine with what you normally would wear. This is a much more true fit than I've seen in other jackets from Sitka. As for a pant....you could go 90% with a kelvin pant over top, other than that you would be in bibs. In a stand the bibs are priceless to keep the small of your back from ever getting exposed and with the aggressive articulation on the fanatic, they will walk like a pant.

Thanks!
Hi guys Canadian Sitka Gear user, my question for the Fanatic jacket is on sizing, your gear is on the smaller side has this changed, i may want to layer under this new jacket di i jump to next size?

When can i order, when is it available, same question on the bib for sizing, lastly i am not sure if i am a bib fan what pant could i order with the Fanatic jacket, 90 percent fairly thin .
Thanks
I am amazed at how Sitka keeps coming out with new gear that is cutting edge. I can't wait to see this set up in person. So one question....You mentioned that it was for tree stand hunters so I obviously it isn't for august or maybe even september hunting elk but I'm guessing this could be great for our late season hunts? Like I said can't wait to check it out in person. I'm sure it's as great as it looks on the video.
Thanks for the info Jeff/Chad!
Mark,
I have the Downpour Jacket and Pants and they work very well...the pants have a full length zip to make it easy to step into if need be to get them on over your boots and other gear. And, if you are in a rainstorm that is strong enough to need the Downpour...they aren't going to hear you anyway, but I realize you are trying to kill 2 needs with 1 arrow! Get some of the Revivex to spray on your Jacket and pants to help even more with the water repellancy!
Mark,
Great topic....here is my opinion. Waterproof is great, but it without a doubt introduces additional noise to a garment. A primary suit, especially a bowhunting one like the Fanatic is meant to be quiet and lets face it...most days we are not battling rain.

So when it is raining, the Fanatic will actually be highly water resistent having WINDSTOPPER and Primaloft, but not proof. The Downpour shell is what I carry in my pack in the event that I need waterproof. Hope that helps.

J. Simpson
Love it. One question I constantly wonder about when I've been hunting in my Sitka, is why can't the Stratus or now the Fanatic be water proof?! That would make them perfect.
Mike, MSRP on the Jacket is $369 / Bib $329. A killer set up for bowhunting. Primaloft with Gore WINDSTOPPER is going to make for a lot more comfortable sits!
What is the MSRP going to be?
