This is pretty simple... we've got a new layout here on www.sitkagear.com and we're pretty stoked.  In honor of the new launch, we're giving YOU, the loyal Sitka Customer... a chance at one of our hottest new pieces of gear in the 2011 fleet... the 2011 Traverse Hoody!  How do I enter?  All we need from you to enter is a comment on this blog AND on our Facebook post about this giveaway! I visit the website all the time. I'm a whitetail hunter in North Alabama. The Fanatic jacket and bibs look great. The Forest Traverse Hoody (L) would be a great addition to my hunting apparel. lookin gforward to owning Sitka products in the future.

Hunting in the Rockies has provided me with many rewards and fond memories but when the weather turns ugly it can be unforgiven. From someone that doesn't take gear selection lightly, thanks for making a product that has me covered.
I'm planning on adding the traverse hoody to my quiver next season. (Forest - L)

I tride on the traverse 1/4 zip T yesterday and loved it but was thinking it would be sweet if it had a hood. Looks like you guys are one step ahead of me, so send me one XXL in forest since I cant afford one before my archery elk hunt this year!

Getting ready to gear up for a combination hunt in September. Going after Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope. First time I went out to Montana on a bow hunt for elk I walked into a sporting goods store in Ennis and was stopped in my tracks when I came across Sitka Gear. Finally a line of clothes that moved the way a bow hunter wanted needed it to. That was in 2005 and with the addition of the Optifade camo pattern it has just been the best. I hunt full season in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania and use the forest green. I now have a 150 class buck on my wall thanks to NOT being busted by my pattern (shot on the ground at 25 yards). I am looking forward to using the open country and believe in how this company is managed and their mission.
Lastly I had suggested in the past that they donate or offer for buyers like me to contribute to outfit returning wounded soldiers from the war who like to hunt. What do you say boys in management???

Well I took the plunge and purchased a considerible amount of sitka. My wife thought I was nuts but You get what you pay for. The optifade forest is a great pattern and deer really can't figure out what you are. Thanks Sitka for a great product!

I've been using Sitka gear for several years now and can't believe how much more comfortable and successful my hunts have been compared to life "pre-Sitka." Can't wait to get some new gear for this upcoming season. I'd love to add your new traverse hoody in XL, Forest.

I have been a loyal Sitka gear hunter for 3 year now. I have they 90% pants and coat. I hunt in the high Mountains of Montana and the system that I use from Sitka allows me to hunt in the coldest weather for days on end!! I love my Sitka gear and look forward to purchasing more and more! I would love the the Forest Traverse Hood to add to my system. Thanks for the hard work Sitka!!

You most definitely should send this hoodie to me. Just started hunting in the 2010 season and after having spent all my money on my bow set up, cammo got left behind as an afterthought. Ended up with the nastiest canvas stuff you could imagine and froze my a** off in the treestand. A Large, Forest should do it. thanks ;-)

I have been looking for a piece like this to add to my whitetail layering system. should add a good deal of warmth without the bulk which would be ideal for bowhunting. xl would look great next to a 160 this fall

This piece of gear WILL be a great addition to my gear list. To bad it does not come in a solid color like Burnt Orange. The Open Country pattern works great in the high mountians of Washington. I love this Sitka system. I use it year round such as hunting Turkeys in the Spring to hunting Elk in the Winter. Great job SITKA!

I would go with lg Open country, I could use the Traverse Hoodie starting in August for my Bighorn season. I hunt Cadomin Alberta also known as the valley of the winds. Hoodies are a usefull piece of eqipment to keep the mellon and neck warm while glassing for sheep for hours opon end.

A Traverse hoodie would be perfect for just about everything I like to do outdoors: hunt, fish, coach, and run. Since our school colors include black, that's the color I'd prefer in size L. Go Sitka!

Well I've shopped Sitka gear for awhile now and haven't made the move yet. Any of the hoodies would be a great start. But since I don't have any "Yet" the black would be more suitable for me, and my ground blind.

Sitka gear is the clothing for the true back country hunter ! Its a light weight material.... Theres no other clothing that you can go out an get soaked and itll dry this fast.

The Travese Zip T is one of my favorite pieces of Sitka Gear and gets worn at least 100 days a year. I can't wait to get one of the Traverse hoodies, Seacat and the rest of the team were really onto something when they come up with the Traverse Hoody! I would take one in any pattern or color; but if I had to pick I would probably pick a solid color...I don't have enough solid gear! Thanks for this opportunity, keep rockin' Sitka!

I have the traverse shirt without the hood, I have had it for a year and it is the most worn piece of sitka gear I own. I find myself wearing it for everything not just for hunting. It is a great piece of clothing to help keep me comfortable when it gets a little cool but not cold enough for a jacket. I would love to get one in solid color because my wife isn't always a fan when I throw on the open country shirt I currently have because it often doesn't exactly match her clothing when we are out on the town....Please Please I need one!!!!

The end of last summer I bought a Traverse zip pull over, and I wore that thing for everything, Iowa bow and pheasant hunting, Idaho upland hunting, and early season walleye fishing. But the most impressed I was with my traverse was 2010 gun season in Iowa, while on the move, I was able to wear only my traverse in about 15 degree with raging blizzards and stay comfortable. when I stopped to post up I would just throw on a down vest and could be comfortable for about an hour. This is the first year I didn't sweat through 3 layers of clothes chasing big Iowa bruisers. I would love one with a hood, and the Open Country pattern, which I think could be extremely versatile in Iowa. Thanks Sitka, Neal Keifer

The Sitka gear is so awesome! I get some flak from hunting partners about the cost of my gear but when they are wet, cold and miserable I remined them how comfortable I am and how much I enjoy being outside. I would absolutly LOVE a Traverse Hoody in optifade to go with the rest of my Sitka gear. It would replace the one I currently use.

I would love to try the new Traverse Hoody in Forest. I still love the Mountain Mimic but have heard nothing but great comments about the new colors.

Guys, Love the 2011 lineup! Its nice to see the innovation continue in your product line. Would love a open country traverse hoody! Thanks for all you do for the backcountry bowhunters out there.
