Day 5: Sitka Athlete Mark Seacat is photographing Jonathan's Dall Sheep hunt in Canada's Northwest Territories. He calls in by satellite phone, and we fire questions at him, dying to know how the hunt is going, trying to imagine the landscape he describes. We'll have only a few minutes before the satellite signal drops off...

No matter who you are or what you shoot your arrows are inevitably an essesntial element to your success.....but for some their creation takes on a whole new meaning (and makes them that much more painful to break or lose). Hopefully this years dozen, that I dubbed "The Ishi Sticks", will schloop a dandy rosie sometime in September.
