There are three things I like about this jacket.
1. the optifade pattern is perfect for mountain hunting in the rocks.
2. The weight of the jacket is perfect for a hunter on the move but needs a wind break and in case a freak storm blows up.
3.and above all it is quiet, a must for any hunting jacket
Breathability, silence, comfort and durability...thats the ticket! Plus I am a big guy so I need all the help I can get not being seen while trying to sneek through the woods!

Next I need some silent "non twig breaking" boots and I will be set!
what more can you say but the 3 deadly W'S wind resistant-whisper silent-whitetail deadly-
the windstopper definitely! it would be great for whitetail hunting northern minnesota as well as elk hunting in wyoming where it can be freezing and snow in the morning and warm up by noon and back to being cold at dark. i need something that is able to move with you as well as be a part of my layering system.
Fall bow hunting in WI!!!!!!!!
I would love to have this jacket! Great wind protection and I love the pattern! Sitka has the best quality!
I love it. Warm, silent, windproof yet well packable!
Bowhunting mulies in open high desert country in Wyoming this fall is going to require a light jacket, that's quiet and wind resistant. Absolutely LOVE Sitka Gear, and will continue to tell all my friends that it's the BEST!
I love how versatile the jacket is in terms of layering because of the fact that it can be worn with a number of combinations. I also love the fact that it is in optifade :)
(Second post, Just read the rules)

My favorite feature of the Stratus Jacket is how it (and all Sitka gear) incorporates itself into each other. All the items are part of a system. I also like how packable and non-bulky the jacket is.

Thanks!
I have been slowly building up my collection of Sitka clothing. I am finally replacing my old cotton, military fatigues. I will be happy to finally have gear that I am either not cold or wet. The Stratus Jacket is at the top of my must haves. Thanks!
I Love all the features of this jacket! One of the most important for me though is that it is Non-Bulky! I tend to do alot of layering here in Northern Az! The Morning might be 20 degrees & 50 or 60 Degrees by Mid-day! I could really use it for My Coues Deer hunt if I my son or I get drawn this year! I love all your gear & appreciate the opportunity to Win this Jacket!
One of my favorite Sitka jackets...Silent and warm a great addition to my January Coues hunt!
I like the wind protection, the camo and because it is Sitka...I would love one.
Windstopper would be great to fight the chill when stopping to glass after a long hike.
Sitka Team...Hunting in Colorado at Timberline I have found the Forest pattern to be an excelent system and having the Stratus jacket in my line-up of forest gear would be essential. The versatility of the stratus jacket when it comes to weight, stealth and overall adaptibility for the Colorado high country is perfect. My favortie aspect of this jacket is it is Sitka, seriously enough said!
I like that it's silent and has wind stop in a lite weight jacket
I love how quiet and soft it is, and that its lightweight.
I love the ability to be used in a layering system. where I live the weather changes by the hour and I need to be able to adapt to it quickly.
My favorite feature is that it is quiet! Very important for stalking or sitting on stand.
I love the idea of the "quietness" feature of this jacket. Far too many times, noisy clothing can bust you in the stand. The quietness of this product really adds another dimension to your ability to get close to whitetails with a bow.
My favorite feature on this jacket is the overall design....It's made with such a style that not only can I spend hours in the field pursuing the big game of my choice, Roosevelt Elk, I can show up at a function in town wearing it as my "nice jacket". I get a ton of comments in public, weather I am at the post office, local high school football game, or grocery shopping, when I am sporting any of my sitka gear. Pretty sweet to get out of the stand, and on my way home, get a text from my wife that we need milk, and just swing in to the store still camo'd up and get compliments....pretty crazy.
What I like the most about the Stratus line is the windstopper coupled with a soft interior fleece lining. The fleece should help retain that extra bit of extra warmth to stay out longer.
My favorite feature of this jacket is the fleece lining. It would be a great addition to the gear I have.
My favorite feature is the versatility of the jacket..The ability to transition from early season to a outer layer in Mid or late season is great
This jacket would be sweet for the late season hunts!!
The Stratus Jacket has several high quality features that make it a "must have" for any athletic hunter. This jacket allows for a quiet but full range of motion for all of those quick shot opportunities. The Stratus is lightweight and warm and allows limitless versatility not to mention it is an excellent windstopper!
I LOVE how versatile the jacket is! What more could you ask for? Fleece lining, wind stopping action! And you can use it with the Layering system that you have created. This would be a great addition to the hunting gear I already use.
With Ohio's season running from late Sept. to early Feb., the lightweight for early hunting and the windproof features are what I consider to be a perfect compliment to the rest of my system.
I don' think there is just one great feature for this jacket!! It can be used year aroud....spring turkey hunting, early fall deer season, and with some layering late fall!! I think sitka has taken the technology of camo and durability of the besst out there, and combined it and made it the ultimate hunting gear!! Props to Sitka!
i like the fact that it is wind proof.....that helps a guy stay on the stand alot longer when he can withstand the wind.
I definitely like the fleece lining. There's something about fleece that makes you feel warmer. Couple that with a light shell and it's a winner. I have a light shell jacket that holds back the win, but I don't always feel warm with it. I think the fleece with definitely make the difference.
Based on the description for this jacket, and my experience with other Sitka products, I would say that my favorite feature of the Stratus Jacket is the overall versatility, comfort and added-value in my whitetail hunting arsenal. I would enjoy the opportunity to provide a real-life follow up to my favorite feature after wearing/using this jacket during the upcoming season. Oh yeah... it looks cool too, which is definitely a nice feature.
Some youth hunter could surely use a new Stratus Jacket and with it being quieter than last year's Jacket they would be in for the best beginner set of gear ever!! MAKE SURE YOU ARE ALL COMMENTING ON THE GORE OPTIFADE FACEBOOK PAGE AS WELL....NOT NEAR AS MANY POSTS ON THE THREAD AS THERE ARE ON HERE!!
I like how it can be worn for early or late season. In Oregon we start bowhunting in late August and end in the first of December. It would be a great start for my Sitka Gear collection.
I think the Stratus jacket is exceptional because it is so versatile.
It enables the hunter to choose which application works for them. From a mild day in a tree stand to freezing temperatures high in the rockies just add or subtract a layer underneath and you are good to go.
Its sitka
My favorite feature about this jacket is not only the wind resistant, but the fact that it's silent too. Staying comfortable in the stand and staying quiet are two completely different things and sitka did a great job achieving both of those things with one jacket.
I would have to say Windstopper is my favorite feature. The wind is always blowing here and if you can eliminate the wind you have a much better chance of staying warm.
I need the Stratus jacket because I don't have one and I KNOW I could put it to use with my current Sitka system. I can see myself hanging out in the wind a bit longer waiting for my target to make a mistake in Ohio this year! Nothing like being comfortable doing what we love right?
My favorite feature to the stratus jacket is the windstopper which makes it an easier piece to layer without adding bulk.
The Stratus Jacket would be nice to have come whitetail season that starts in September for Bow in the area I hunt here in Alberta. It would also work great for Sheep that starts in August.
Not bulky, but looks very warm.
My favorite feature of the stratus jacket is the without a doubt the windstopper.
I like the concealment the fact its quite
Versatility and ability to layer. Makes the jacket usable for most of the Ohio whitetail season.
Just recieved my forest fanatic awesome jacket, have a 90% in the open country would love to have a stratus to compliment my whitetail early season sitka gear rocks it is simply the best.

Greg Kottsick
this would be a great jacket for me for late season sheep and mule deer hunts...we get winds over 60 MPH regularly and something windproof is a must when sitting on the ridges spotting for rams and bucks.

Cheers,

Mike
The rugged Sitka gear and the Gore Optifade will prove deadly to my local whitetail population. That is why I need that stratus jacket!
Love the soft, quiet fleece. In AZ, I don't always need waterproof gear, windproof and quiet however, is a must.
The windstopper will be awesome on those breezy winter days!
First off OPTIFADE need I say more? No, but I will. How about the fact that it is so quiet to hunt in that wind can't even hear it to try and blow through the windproofing. Awsome jacket and I can't wait to win it and use it on my hunt in a month and a half.
From what I hear.... I love the universalness of this jacket... Going from early to late season with layering... My favorite thing would be the wind resistance... Hunting on ridgelines in Oregon isn't necessary cold.. But most often very windy. This would be an awesome way for me to start a Sitka gear collection.
This jacket is so versatile from the early season to early fall. It articulates well with every movement even in a layered system. This jacket isn't just a whitetail jacket, it serves all areas from the west coast to the east, in any condidtion and terrain.
Would make a great addition to my 90% pants this fall, with over 40 days in the field each season I need the best gear and sitka provides it.
The Gore-Tex Windstopper fabric makes for a great outer piece, but is also a really good soft-shell layer under either your insulation or hard-shell layer. I am looking forward to adding this piece to my lineup!
Optifade is my favorite feature, but quietness and a wind stopper are also in the recipe for success.
I like that it is optifade and would be a good early or late season jacket like the fleece lining
First off OPTIFADE need I say more? No, but I will. How about the fact that it is so quiet to hunt in that wind can't even hear it to try and blow through the windproofing. Awsome jacket and I can't wait to win it and use it on my hunt in a month and a half.
I have the Stratus bibs and they feel like wrapping up in a warm blanket; I can only imagine being encased in Windstopper goodness while battling the elements on a cold, winter day in the stand! Pick me! Pick me! :)
Perfect addition for highcountry BC hunts!
I need some wind protection
Hunting in the Midwest in early season and late season the weather changes constantly and can drop upwards of 40 degrees in a single set on the stand. The Stratus Jacket with the Windstopper liner keeps you in the stand longer. The Stratus also allows you to exit the stand and stalk that whitetail in the next draw over because of the super silent brushed fabric and the Optifade camo provides the best concealment technology on the market. My favorite features on this great piece of gear is the extremely handy chest pockets and the great hood for when mother nature is really whipping up all she has to offer.
I like the combination of fleece and Windstopper. If a warm jacket doesn't adequately block the wind, then it can't really do it's job.
This jacket would be perfect for hunting whitetails in the south like I do. Love your products And how well they work for me
The Stratus jacket would be my first choice for Whitetail hunting! I like that the jacket incorporates a soft fleece lining with the WINDSTOPPER shell.
Another great piece by Sitka....I would love to have this piece for this season. Wind protection is a must.
The Windstopper is the best feature on the jacket. There is nothing worse than a bone-chilling wind, and Windstopper is the only thing on the market that takes wind out of the equation without adding a ton of bulk which is key to us bowhunters.
Great lightweight jacket that features heavy protection against the elements. Can't ask for much more than that!
I love that it stops wind and can be used with my other Sitka gear when things get cold.
The Stratus system would be great for a whitetail guy like me!
My favorite feature of the Sitka Stratus jacket is the cut of the garmet. This keeps bulk to a minimum which increases mobility and minimizes noise made by excess fabric. As a Bowhunter having a jacket that stays out of the way when I fire my bow and doesn't make noise when I move around is key to arrowing mature whitetails.
I LIKE HOW YOU CAN YOU USE THIS JACKET IN EARLY AND LATE SEASON. THIS JACKET IS A MUST HAVE ON ANY HUNTING SEASON.
I love the the fact thats its light for early season yet windproof
My favorite feature would be the fact that is quiet. Hopefully the fleece component is not something that will trap and hold human oder.
I like the WINDSTOPPER lining!
For me the the Stratus Jacket with give me the versatility to layer for cold mornings and warm afternoon hiking and scouting for my up coming Moose hunt here in Montana this fall. Keep up the great work o your Awesome "GEAR".
Fair Chase,
Matt Hanson
The best feature about this jacket is that its thin enough for layering. Also the windstopper shell makes it ideal for wearing by itself on windy days
My favorite part is the optifade, It blends in so good to many different areas I hunt. Plus the all around versatility of the jacket makes a huge difference!!
Best feature has to be the fact that its thin enough for layering and also the windstopper shell makes it suitable for wearing alone on windy days
I would love to have the jacket, ya gotta have a jacket with wind protection out west.
I like the stratus jacket because its made by sitka! Hows that for an answer haha. Like the cuffs, colour, and wind block ability. Most of all i know its going to fit as all your stuff does. I'm a smaller guy but athleticaly stalky. Your clothes are the only brand that fit me perfectly. I do alot of sheep hunting so i like that your developing wind block material. Thanks,
Scott
This would just about complete my gear needs for the Kansas bow season this year.
This jaket seems to be just the jaket that I need while layering for some hight country hunting.
I like the fact that it can be used throughout the entire whitetail season.Tough and rugged equipment gets the job done.
really like the fastner cords in the waist and hood that allow to get precise fit
The stratus jacket would be a great addition to my sitka gear arsenal in addition to the cool Idaho mornings chasing a big bull and staying warm comfortable.
Gotta love Gore windstopper! Zero wind on those cold mornings and even gets you by in a pinch in the rain. Another great Sitka product
It a great quality piece of hunting equipment. The wind stopper material keeps out the cold while the fleece keeps you comfortable for longing periods of time. This combination keeps you on the stand longer and any advantage I can get to allow a trophy to come into range is an advantage that I am looking for.
I like the fact that its light weight & fleece lined. Doiwn South were I hunt alot its the perfect all season jacket.
A great compliment to the layering system. Allows you to pack a windproof Jacket to wear early morning and late evening. This will Go over the hoodie nicely giving the avid early season hunter another dimension in comfort and flexibility. Definitely need one. The soft fleece is the difference between this Sitka Piece and other windproof options.
My favorite feature of this jacket is the all around versatility that is has. I is hard to find anything on the market that suits my early season needs and when combined can suit the late seasons as well. Keep up the good work in making one stellar product!
I would love to have this for hunting mulies and early season elk when the weather can change from 75 deg. to 40 deg. in one day. Windstopper is awesome and I have it on one of my non-hunting pieces and I love it.
the biggest thing with this line of jacket is less bulkyness, with getting rid of comfort. You can literelly wear these jackets with all day comfort, the soft fleece on the inside and pockets is warm, and very comfortable.
I love the Soft lining with the wind stopper. Noise is second to smell while in the deer stand and from what I have seen with this Stratus noise will not be a problem. Most all other jackets that have a wind stopper lining get very noisy when you move your arms when the temp drops below freezing. The soft lining on the stratus helps to control that noise. I need the stratus cause no matter the temperature I am hunting and I don't want to continue to freeze my butt off.
Thanks
My favorite feature is the camo itself. Love the Optifade patterns, just dont own any yet.
What I like most is it will help me keep warm while still being quiet also of course in Forest Optifade which is good for New England Whitetail hunting.
I would have to say my favorite feature of the jacket is the fleece lining, combined with it being able to be used as an early season and mid season jacket.
I love the soft fleece lining. It really bumps the R factor when putting on the layers.
My favorite feature is the Optifade!
Love the jacket.....would make my husband jealous
That's a sweet jacket, I love to be wearing it this season!
I'm In
