I have the old Jetstream beanie and the new one is a huge improvement. The back of the beanie is much longer and actually covers all my ears and part of the back of my neck. The material is very soft and quite, it sheds water very well. I personally pair this with the merino beanie and it gets me through the whole season. Again another great product from Sitka.

I really like this beanie! It definitely blocks the wind out and is very effective! Use it for predator hunting/calling for long sits and long hikes. Keeps the rain out very good. Can sit in the rain and it doesn't get soaked. My only complaint is I wish it was a little longer. I recommend it and is very well designed.

Recently bought the Jetstream Beanie after having trouble finding a good piece of headgear that covered a wide range of hunting conditions. This keeps my head dry in light rains and warm in high mountain winds. Haven't tested in the snow yet, but expect good things.

hands down the best hat ive owned. Live in alaska and mainly hunt moose and brown bear. We have horses and usually take them to go hunting. Last moose hunting season we spent all day out in the rain and fog to get a monster 67" bull of a lifetime. Left camp at 7 am and spent all day out there and my sitka gear kept me warm and comfortable and the hat has always been exemptional i always wear it in the winter time as well. Shot the bull at around 630 pm and got back into camp around 830 pm and the rain finally stopped.

A. Yes, we have gear experts available from the hours of 8:00am MST to 5:00pm MST that are able to answer any of your technical questions as well as process and place orders.  During hunting season and other times of the year in which we experience high call volumes please do not be discouraged to leave us a voice message.  We will return your call ASAP. 

Q. How do I know what Sitka Gear I need for my hunt?

A. Our products are built to be used together as a complete system and are designed for very specific end-uses.  For general guidelines on how to build an appropriate system for a specific hunt please check out our System Builder.  As well, our gear experts are all avid hunters and are here to assist you in building your system.  Don’t hesitate to call them with specific questions at 877-SITKA-GR.

Q. What is Sitka Gear’s Warranty Policy?

A. We stand behind every product we make.  If you are unhappy with any of our products at the time your receive them, feel free to send them back.  Damage due to wear and tear will be repaired at a reasonable cost.  For more details, visit our Repairs and Warranties page.

Q. How can I determine which size will fit me best?

Q. How do I know if a specific Sitka Gear pack is the right size for me?

Q. Can I return my purchase for a refund for exchange?

A. Yes you can.  If it is within 60 days of the original purchase date and you would like to return your product for an exchange or refund, please use the return form included with your shipment and call our gear experts at 877-SITKA-GR for a Return Authorization number.  Note, that products must be unused with hangtags still affixed and must have been purchased direct from Sitka Gear.  If your item was purchased from one of our Authorized Dealers, please contact them in regards to their individual return policy.

A. Unfortunately, we do not accept back orders at this time.  If there’s a specific product you would like to find and it’s not available on our site, please call or email our gear experts at 877-SITKA-GR or  We would be glad to help you locate the product from an authorized retailer.

Q. What method do you use to ship your products?

A. All of our orders are shipped via FedEx.  Standard Ground, 2-Day or Overnight deliveries are available.  Additional charges do apply for express shipments, oversized items and/or duties & customs into Canada.

Q. How do I track my order?

A. If you have entered a valid email address through the checkout process you will receive an email from FedEx with your tracking number when your shipment is processed. 

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?

A. We make every effort possible to get your order processed and shipped in a timely fashion.  Most orders are shipped within 2 business days of order placement.  If an item on your order is backordered or out of stock, you will be contacted by a Sitka Gear customer service associate to discuss alternative options.

Q. Why do I need to create an account to order online?

A. Creating an account with us helps speed up the ordering process for you and allows you to keep track of your order history, as well as manage your profile information online.

Q. Why does my credit card show two charges?

A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario.  When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account.  This is not an actual charge on your card.  Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time.  The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).

Q. Can I cancel my order?

A. We may be able to cancel your order but can only do this by telephone.  Please call us at 877-SITKA-GR as soon as possible after you have placed your order.  Otherwise it may be too late, as we try to process and get orders out the door as quickly as possible.

A. To return a Sitka Gear item that you purchased from a store, please contact the original store to inquire about their individual Returns policy.
