LEGIT! This beanie laughs at cold and wind. I carry it on every hunt along with the matching neck gaiter. Cozy, comfortable, awesome. Been down to -35 in Eastern Montana, and plenty of cold spots in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming too. Must have. I wear a 7 1/8" ball cap and it fits me well but can also slip over a ball cap glassing when the sun's out. Perfect glassing companion. Best blinder to pull over your eyes for that mid-day nap too. Keep it off the ground, the soft fleece will grab every seed, burr and leaf in sight.

This is warm and comfortable but I quickly found in the windy Wyoming mountains it had a tendency to get lifted off my head pretty easily. In comparison, the jetstream beanie worked well and did not blow off but did not have enough insulation. Wish this stayed put better. Did not like having to hold it in place.

I recently tested many Sitka products on my recent hunt for Ibex in Kyrgyzstan. 15 degree mornings at 12,500' found me horseback in the Tien Shan Mountains on the border of China. The Blizzard Beanie is the finest cold weather cap I have ever seen. It kept me warm and only in the most physical situations did I feel a bit sweaty with it on. Sitka is extreme equipment for extreme conditions.

I just returned from 7 days in the Idaho mountains Elk hunting. I didn't expect snow, but we spent most days dealing with very cold weather. The Blizzard Beanie was the one item that made the chilling cold on my ears disappear!! It is now a necessity in my pack!!

I guide on the North Slope of the Brooks Range in Alaska. It gets REALLY cold there. I have tried every beanie I could find, none worked well there, not enough insulation, no wind stop, they just didn't do the job. With the Blizzard Beanie I finally found one that works. I wore it all the time, I even slept with it on, it was nice to finally be warm. I my opinion this is one of the best pieces of gear I own and if you hunt, guide or recreate in a cold climate you should not be without the Sitka Blizzard Beanie. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!

What method do you use to ship your products?
A. All of our orders are shipped via FedEx. Standard Ground, 2-Day or Overnight deliveries are available. Additional charges do apply for express shipments, oversized items and/or duties & customs into Canada.
How do I track my order?
A. If you have entered a valid email address through the checkout process you will receive an email from FedEx with your tracking number when your shipment is processed.
How long will it take to receive my order?
A. We make every effort possible to get your order processed and shipped in a timely fashion. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days of order placement. If an item on your order is backordered or out of stock, you will be contacted by a Sitka Gear customer service associate to discuss alternative options.
Why do I need to create an account to order online?
A. Creating an account with us helps speed up the ordering process for you and allows you to keep track of your order history, as well as manage your profile information online.
Why does my credit card show two charges?
A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario. When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account. This is not an actual charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time. The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).
Can I cancel my order?
A. We may be able to cancel your order but can only do this by telephone. Please call us at 877-SITKA-GR as soon as possible after you have placed your order. Otherwise it may be too late, as we try to process and get orders out the door as quickly as possible.
