Completely redesigned for 2013, the Stormfront Pant is built for hunters and guides in sopping coastal regions who literally live in their rain gear. Constructed from a rugged three-layer GORE-TEX® Hardshell fabric, this is the most durable and abrasion resistant rain jacket in our line. It is ideal for extended wet-weather hunts in the thick, unforgiving willows of moose and brown bear country.
The uninsulated Stormfront Pant breathes well in mild temperatures, but it’s fit to accommodate layers from the Kelvin Series underneath, so it can be used well into the coldest, most brutal months of far northern winters. All zippers are welded and watertight. Full side zips make for easy on and off when changing underlayers. Two zippered hip pockets, quiet snap cargo pockets, and zippered cargo pockets cache your necessities and keep them dry. Dual zipper fly, built-in, low-profile nylon belt, and included suspenders keep the pant comfortably aloft. Adjustable cuffs allow you to cinch the pant over your boots and shingle water away from your feet.
Reserved for extended periods of time in the most extreme, wet weather conditions, the Stormfront is our most bombproof and livable rain pant.

Let me begin with the question everyone asks. Are the Storefront pants and jacket worth it? Absolutely. I am an upland hunter, which is not a Sitka category, but hey, we have to stay warm and dry just like the big game guys. There are three things that should be mentioned. First, the pants and jacket are 100% waterproof. They will keep you dry in rain or snow. Second, they will keep you warm when used with a layering system (I prefer wool). I am talking about extreme conditions of cold and wind. Their wind breaking properties are phenomenal. Third, they are tougher than anyone would have any right to expect. It's rain gear not chaps. Nevertheless, I have worn them in thick brush with no problems. Last fall I took my dog into really thick stuff to find a buddy's downed pheasant. I would have had no reasonable complaint if the pants ripped. But they came through without a scratch. Well worth the money, and Sitka you have a world of upland hunters to market to.

First off I would like to compliment Sitka's customer service. I received these as a gift, but in the wrong size. I sent in the pants and got the right size back in no time! Aside from that, I can say from experience that these are the real deal. Used them on a seven day elk hunt in Idaho where I practically lived in rain gear. Wore these pants every day, rain, snow, or shine. My buddy had the same pants, and we both agreed they were an amazing piece of equipment. I also love these pants for coyote hunting, they keep you dry stand after stand. You won't regret purchasing these.

I love Sitka, and I realize nothing is invincible; but after a couple days on a Dall hunt in AK, inhad several tears in my seat and an inseam rip in my crotch. I plan on returning to sitka in hopes of getting a new pair. I may try the downpour pant for archery hunts anyway.

I can honestly say I own every Open Country piece there is. The Stormfront finished my system. This is the one set that I should have purchased first. Although it's a waterproof barrier, it keeps you very warm over other layers. This stuff is bombproof as well. When it's raining or laying in a snow bank for hours, nothing beats the Stormfront. Just spent the week coyote hunting and used this set as an outer layer. Days laying in the snow and I was dry and warm all day. This is a must have piece if you do kind of activities where warm and keeping dry is a must. The best there is.

Just finished up with a rifle elk hunt in Montana. Throughout the hunt I used Sitka's Fanatic Jacket, Stratus Bibs, Stormfront Jscket and Pants, along with the Timberline pants. I would give four stars to all of the above listed gear. Sitting on s ledge at 9500 ft, with a 40mph wind, rain, snow, and sleet, the fanatic jacket worked awesome with the Stormfront over it. I wore the Timberline pant, with a set a thermals underneath for the hike in, and packed in my status bibs and Stormfront pants for when I got to the elevation I would be hunting at. Sitka is NOT cheap gear, but if you want to be confident that you have the best gear made, it is worth it.

How long will it take to receive my order?
A. We make every effort possible to get your order processed and shipped in a timely fashion. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days of order placement. If an item on your order is backordered or out of stock, you will be contacted by a Sitka Gear customer service associate to discuss alternative options.

Why does my credit card show two charges?
A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario. When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account. This is not an actual charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time. The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).
Can I cancel my order?
A. We may be able to cancel your order but can only do this by telephone. Please call us at 877-SITKA-GR as soon as possible after you have placed your order. Otherwise it may be too late, as we try to process and get orders out the door as quickly as possible.
