We’ve sandwiched the GORE® WINDSTOPPER® membrane between a wet-printed Micro-Fleece shell and a micro grid fleece backer, creating the quietest 100% windproof jacket. On its own, the Stratus can take you well into the mid-season, and since it’s fitted for insulation underlayering, you can make it your go-to shell well into November.
Built with the GORE® WINDSTOPPER® membrane, the 2015 incarnation of the Stratus Jacket is the ideal outer layer for blustery early autumn sits, and since it’s cut for under layering with insulation pieces like the Celsius Series, it remains the go-to soft shell for most regions well into November.
The 100% windproof GORE® WINDSTOPPER® membrane is encased between an ultra-quiet wet-printed microfleece face fabric and an insulating microgrid fleece backer. The articulated patterning gives you a comfortable fit for the seated position, and frees you up for a complete range of motion. Flip up the hood in bitter winds, or remove it completely for warmer days in the early season. Keep your fingers toasty in zippered hand pockets, and keep all your necessities readily accessible in the dual zippered chest pockets. Tie in comfortably with using the safety harness pass-through port.
This is an amazing jacket. It is light weight, yet extremely warm for the weight. The hood is cut perfect for the ability to keep good peripheral vision while keeping the hood up. Good stuff.
The Stratus line is one of the most comfortable and flexible jackets I own. For me here in the mid-west it fits the bill from early season through much of the season. It's a great bow hunting jacket. Temperature regulation is amazing. You can pair this will a multitude of undergarments to hit the temp range you are hunting in. Another must have in the hunter's arsenal of clothing!
Excellent!!!!! Just got mine in. I am about 5'8" and 155 and the large fit balls on with a thin shirt underneath but i love to wear a quarter zip under it so i sized up and went with the XL in the jacket and pants i have a L and they fit perfectly im about a 32-33 inch waist. So always size up when you can. Took it out in 40 degree weather and i had some merino base layers and i was warm and comfortable the whole morning. Its very well cut for a bowhunter and is comfortable to layer under and it traps the heat real well. I picked this over the fanatic because i have a ton of money invested in base layers and didn't need the extra warmth so it was a great investment for me. Very pleased and highly recommend for a late season to mid season bowhunter dream jacket.
After a quick call to Sitka, I purchased the Stratus system (jacket and pants). As with all Stika products this system is of utmost quality both fit and function! Extremely quite and extremely warm. It really doesn't get any better for the whitetail hunter. One thing to note is be mindful of the layers. This system keeps you very warm and when temps go up past mid 40s you will be shedding some layers of you start out to heavy. One suggestion would be doing away with one of the zippered chest pockets and adding the 'range finder' pocket like the Equinox jacket(which I have as well).
The Stratus system is light weight, warm, quiet and fits nicely. It performed perfectly during the cold morning hunts in the east and mid-west, without all the bulk you may find in other products. Stratus has quickly become my favorite when headed out to the stand.

A. We make every effort possible to get your order processed and shipped in a timely fashion. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days of order placement. If an item on your order is backordered or out of stock, you will be contacted by a Sitka Gear customer service associate to discuss alternative options.

A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario. When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account. This is not an actual charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time. The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).
