The Stratus Jacket is constructed to keep you comfortable and focused in the cool temperatures, high winds, and intermittent precip of the mid season. The extremely quiet GORE® WINDSTOPPER® Softshell is 100% windproof, forming a protective microclimate around your upper body that still breathes, keeping you comfortable when hiking in a stand or dragging out a deer. The lofted micro check fleece lining offers moderate insulation without bulk, making this the ideal jacket for all-day stand sessions as temperatures fall and autumn gusts intensify.

The lightly brushed face fabric reduces friction noise, helping keep you undetected. Articulated elbows reduce bunching and bulk, freeing you up for a full range of motion as you climb into the stand, pull to full draw, and pivot for the shot. In high winds, light rain, or flurries, you can flip up the hood and cinch it close around your face to hold in precious body heat. Zippered hand and chest pockets cache your necessities and keep them from tumbling to the forest floor. With base and mid layers, you can stretch the Stratus Jacket’s comfort range well beyond the rut.

I'm on my second season using Sitka products and I'm very impressed! It's with out a doubt the very best hunting wear on the market! My favorite is the Stratus pants and jacket because of there versatility, function, and design. I'm able to wear it from cool October mornings thru bitter cold late season temps when paired with Sitka's layering system ! Thanks Sitka for making gear that makes hunting more comfortable in tough conditions !

Was not sure of the Windstopper claim until I used this jacket on a motorcycle on a 40 degree day. Yup, it works as advertised! Feels good in a tree stand too!

a must for late season sits in the tree, with the pants and a base this system allows you to sit from sunup to sundown on the cold November days. a great system for late season Oregon blacktails.

The Stratus jacket is a terrific mid-late season bowhunting jacket for here in Texas! The best thing about this jacket, and ALL Sitka Gear, is the cut - no matter how many layers you need, if you're searing Sitka Gear, you can draw your bow easily. It's as if you're wearing a t-shirt when, in fact, you're wearing 3-4 layers of clothing. It's as quiet as fleece (once it's been worn a while) but it doesn't allow the wind in, the way fleece does. Whether you're in a popup blind or a tree stand on a cold and windy morning, you'll stay warm and comfortable; which translates into more time 'on stand' and more success. Best of all, this jacket is tough! As a full time guide and outfitter I spend 275-300 days a year in the south Texas brush and I put my gear through a lot of abuse. My Stratus jacket is almost 2 years old and it's still going strong - in spite of all the thorns and cactus it's fought with! Whether I'm guiding whitetail hunters, filming hunts for TV or calling predators in February, my Stratus jacket makes my job (and my passion) a whole lot easier!

I just replaced all of my hunting gear and couldn't be happier that I chose Sitka. The Stratus jacket is unbelievable. The quality is unparalleled. The inside of the jacket is finished very nicely unlike most other hunting clothes. The snaps, zippers, every part is of the highest quality. The fabric is the quietest I have owned. The fit is perfect and it's extremely comfortable. I wore it in 70 degree weather and it was a bit warm for that but it was fine in the 50 and 60 degree mornings. I can see it being good with one layer in the 30's, very versatile temp wise. Rest assured it's worth every penny due to it's quality. I can see this gear lasting many, many years.

I purchased this jacket and I was concerned it would not be heavy enough when I needed it. I was amazed that it performed as well as it did. It will keep you warm on the cold mornings but allow you to wear it comfortably when the sun comes out and the temp starts climbing. Great product !!

This line is the ultimate in quiet fabric technology, perfect for stalking, although it has a short window for usage, too hot for september, and too cold for november. The wind stopper claim is more like wind resistant, as i can definitely still feel wind getting through (how can it not? It's a soft, porous, non gore tex material) , a few drawbacks are it gets wet really easy, a little rain or dew and you are soaked, also it snags absolutely everything in the bush. I would say this line is good to about -10degC (with layers). Having articulated joints is a great feature for this line.

For a mid-season coat, it’s one best built I have ever had, for the weather up here in Quebec, Canada we get hit hard. It starts first week of September with rain, snow and high winds, moose hunting is great with Sitka Gear.

This is a great mid to late season jacket. It is form fitting, but not too tight. It has drawstrings for the waist and hood that allow you to cinch everything down when it gets cold. The material is very quiet and durable. When it gets really cold, I simply layer underneath with a goose down jacket. If it's wet..I simply layer over top with the downpour jacket. This set up takes me through the entire season. I wear a size large in the stratus....I'm 5'8", 190 lbs with a 42" chest.

If you're looking for a mid-season jacket that will keep you comfortable on stand for longer, look no further! This jacket is awesome! With GORE's Windstopper you won't feel ANY breeze sneaking through and this will allow you to stay out longer and kill that buck of your dreams. I have worn this jacket as part of my layering system in temperatures dipping below -25deg Celcius (-13deg F) and have been very comfortable. As a HuntingTech that tests gear for GORE, I was very happy to be able to put this jacket to the test. Its brushed face will keep the noise down, while the DWR finish does it's job to keep you dry in snow flurries or a light drizzle. I highly recommend this jacket as a topnotch treestand jacket!

I have used the Stratus Jacket now for two years and am very impressed with its features. The WINDSTOPPER membrane works flawlessly in keeping the bitter cold at bay when in the field. One of the best features of the Stratus Jacket is how quiet it is while hunting. The brushed face fabric makes the jacket near impossible to hear while in the stand drawing back a bow. While not waterproof, the DWR finish will help to keep you dry. In a downpour, you will still want to have a Gore-Tex rain jacket to wear overtop. While not insulated, the microfleece lining will help to keep you warm as the temperature drops. Later in the season, it is still recommended to you use this jacket as part of your layering system. Can't wait to use this jacket with the new Stratus Pants. I am a GORE™ Gear Tester.
