Hunting Success: Get it out of your system.

Our approach to performance hunting apparel is systemic. By constructing the most functional designs from the most technical performance fabrics and insulations, then combining them in various strategic combinations, Sitka systems can be matched to any hunting scenario regardless of exertion level, temperature, wind or precipitation. The following pages walk you through Sitka’s system components and help you configure the system that is best for you. To further assist you, we’ve provided several examples of hunters who have proven our systems afield. If their hunting geography or approach is similar to yours, you can use their system as a basis for your own. If your approach is unique, configure your combination, and get success out of your system.

Sample Sitka System

The photo of Sitka athlete, Andrew Crow, shows a Sitka system in action with all of the variables that affect comfort. Late fall temperatures at high elevations in northern latitudes are low, however, in this photo, as he works his way up a ridgeline, Andrew’s exertion level is elevated and his body’s response is similar to an evaporative cooling system. His Traverse base layer is pulling double duty, wicking perspiration away from his skin where it can be breathed away, keeping him dry and warm once he settles in behind the spotting scope. Clearly, inclement weather is a factor in Andrew’s hunt and his Stormfront jacket and pants provide the GORE-TEX® “Guaranteed to Keep You Dry” promise, keeping pounding rain out while allowing perspiration vapor to breath out, helping Andrew avoid that clammy feeling.
