The Equinox Guard Hoodie cuts down on contact with biting insects in hot, humid environments. Full-coverage design limits skin exposure, and the high-gauge fabric blocks bites while promoting airflow and wicking sweat. A scent-free Insect Shield® treatment actively repels mosquitoes, ticks, and other disease-spreading insects. It’s rounded out with a mesh facemask and a long tail that tucks into your pants for extra insect defense.

I’ve hunted all over the country in this hoodie, from chasing bear through the mountains in August, to September elk in Oregon, to spring turkey in Oklahoma. I have absolutely put this thing through the wringer.
Blackberries, heavy brush, long days in the field, you name it. The durability has been incredible. I probably have over 200 days in this shirt at this point. There are a few small holes here and there, but considering what I’ve put it through, it’s honestly a miracle that’s all the damage it has.
I own a lot of Sitka gear. I love most of it, and there are definitely a few pieces I could live without. This is without a doubt on my must-have list.
Especially after spending more time hunting in the Midwest and South, the bug protection is not optional, and it’s definitely not a gimmick. It works incredibly well against ticks, chiggers, and mosquitoes. After two years of putting this hoodie through hell and back, the bug protection still performs just as well as it did on day one.
From fly fishing Yellowstone to working dogs on a pond in the South, this hoodie comes with me on just about every trip. Highly Recommend.
