Just got my gravelly shell and it is awesome. I wasn’t too sure I was going to like it because I’ve had rain coats in the past and they are usually really thin and flimsy and a lot of them tear easily. This jacket is thick, well built and makes a great outer piece. Wore it out today in 25 degree snow storm so it was about 10 degrees with wind chill and all I had on was a thin flannel button up and my High country hoodie on underneath and I was in good shape. I’m fairly new to Sitka but I have been so impressed by almost everything they make so far. I am 5’7 140 lbs and the small was perfect and gave me room to fit my hoody underneath.
Not cheap so I took my time to compare all the competitors. I wanted a high quality jacket with minimal features. This is the best choice. The best is the hood which is truly functional and the wrist closures which seal over the wrist instead of under it. No snagging this way. It’s close-fittting so if you are stocky, size up.
As expected, this jacket is jam up! Living in the deep south, we get pop up thunderstorms in the summer, wearing a heavy raincoat isn't an option. It seems very durable, its definetly the best rain jacket i've ever owned!
Was looking for a nice rain jacket while working, in and out of meetings. Very functional, definitely keeps you dry. 6’1 250 purchased a 2X and fits great. Still enough room for another layer if cold.
I use this jacket as my everyday during the Seattle winters. I use it as my ski jacket too. Best jacket you can get out there.
I order this jacket awhile back to replace another goretex jacket for my everyday use. I ordered a med for this and it fits good (5'9"/160lbs) allowing to wear layers under if needed but is fine on its own. I have Large in my sitka hunting outer layers to leave room for my cold Canadian hunts. Overall the jackets stays true to Sitkas high quality. The jacket seems surprising thicker then I expected which is great as I thought it was going to be a tad flimsy and I will be wearing it hiking or in the back country. The pockets are large and deep which is another bonus. I have worn alot of other brands in the past such as Arcteryx but this is a much better bang for your buck. You get high quality and a great looking jacket. If you purchased the equivalent priced jacket in Arcteryx you would only receive a fraction of the quality. Hopefully they keep up the high quality that the brand is known for and put out some more everyday products. We only wish we could hunt everyday but that is not the case for most. Gravelly shell goretex bib pants would be a nice addition, I would use it for ATV ride gear also!
Fantastic jacket. 100% waterproof and great addition to my Sitka Collection.
Love this jacket! What you would expect from Sitka. I have worn Patagonia and Mountain Hardwear for years, this replaces those pieces with equal quality. Can't wait to use it in Wyoming this summer on a fly fishing trip. Would give 4 stars if it had pit zips. I am 5'10", 185lbs and find the XL fits me better with room for layers. Excellent jacket!!
This rain shell is outstanding! I was debating on getting this, or the Cloudburst, but decided on this because of the solid color. I used this in heavy, wet snow. It performed amazing. It has a larger fit, so it will go over all your layers perfectly. I'm very impressed with this!
Very impressed with this jacket. What you see is what you get. It’s well made, waterproof with its Gore Tex material and surprisingly light enough for those warmer days down in Texas when those afternoon showers pop up. This will be my go to rain jacket that will also double as my outer shell for snow skiing. I am 6’ and 225 and the XL fits perfect. Love the Rust color. Thanks for another great product Sitka!

I own three Gravelly Jackets being a shed member. I ski in the Washington cascades and these jackets are pretty bomb proof. Sad to see them discontinue. Hope they make another solid Gore-tex shell in the future.
Really enjoy this jacket since I bought it. I have been wanting a nice casual rain jacket to wear throughout the year. I am 5' 8'' approximately 160 pounds and I purchased the medium and it fits great. I have enough room to also wear a sweatshirt or base layer under it if needed. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a quality jacket that will last!
Absolutely love this jacket. Had it for over a year and it's never failed to keep me dry and comfortable while camping, fishing, and hunting. I was a bit disappointed there are no interior pockets but the waterproof pockets that are on it work, and I don't really want to unzip my coat while it's raining anyway so overall it seems like a meticulously thought out piece. I do throw it on though sometimes when it's not raining for wind protection and wish there was an interior pocket or two though so something to think about Sitka :-) The fit is perfect for me, but you might consider going up a size from what you usually wear. I'm 6'3" 200 lbs. and after trying a Large went to XL.
It's a pleasure to wear something that perfectly does its job. Also doesn't hurt that my wife thinks it looks nice :-)
I’ve been looking for a while for an actual waterproof rain jacket. I tell you what, I’m blown away with this jacket. I live in Georgia, working in Atlanta a lot and we’re out here working in non stop down pours. Jacket has not leaked a drop of water inside of it. I have stayed completely dry from this jacket. Sitka has done it yet again. Fits perfectly. I’m 5’10 and 178 lbs wearing a size large.
