Perfect for fall and spring temperatures, great features and fit. Just enough rain resistance and the buttons are tough.

Some pieces are good, but this one is GREAT! This reminds me of the type of old-school farm button up that I used to wear on cool fall days. The biggest difference? The old one did not have anywhere close to the comfort, functionality, or features that the Highland has. It seems as though it is going to be extremely durable as the shell feels like a thick welding shirt without the inconvenience of snagging everything that you walk past. The slash pockets do a great job of keeping everything secure whereas most jackets of this sort let everything fall out whenever you turn around too quickly.

The ONLY thing that is a little bit off, is the fit. I am 6'5 and wear a medium in some pieces but a large works better for most. I ordered the large and it is tight in the shoulders and even tighter in the forearms. For me, this is not an issue but just wanted to throw that out there. Yet another piece released by Sitka that looks and feels as though they "nailed it". My hats off to you...

Owning the Off-Season

A good coach once told me that “being lucky” is actually just being prepared. It was a valuable lesson and one that also applies to the backcountry. Now is the time to prepare with a purpose, not the week before the season starts.
