Works great but, you need to use hand warmers.

Great handwarmer! Just what the doctor ordered for a significant step up from just using your wader pockets!

I'm not a big fan of hunting with gloves, so I wear the fingerless fanatic glove with this so I"m ready quickly when I need to shoot. I use it waterfowl, sea duck hunting and whitetail hunting in Maine, in December and January when the temps on the ocean get down to single digits not including windchill. Sometimes I put my phone or extra shells in the front pocket so they're handy, and I hold handwarmers inside in my hands. The openings are tight so it holds in heat. I cannot hunt in winter without it.

I use this for hunting in a boat, layout, or in a blind. The belt attachment is nice for wading. It's very warm, durable, and comfortable when temps drop too low for gloves. I'm not a massive fan of shooting with gloves on, so this is the ticket for me.

Now that I have this I wonder how I ever survived without it. Super warm and conformable hands no matter how nasty the weather.

I purchased the Hudson Muff for a 10-day Canadian Snow Goose Hunt, hunting from lay down blinds in grain fields. During the 10 days we hunted, we saw lows of 16 degrees, and averaged below freezing temps during most of our hunts. In these conditions, the muff was a must have.

While on your waist, you can wear it in the front as intended, but slide around to get out of the way. It has two clips on both sides to unbuckle with the ability to adjust width easily.

Inside the sleeve pocket, there are slots for disposable hand warmers, and plenty of room for your hands, plus a pair of gloves that I stored there. The elastic openings work well to keep a snug fit around your wrists that help seal in warmth.

The front zippered pocket was smaller, but fit my hunting docs, iPhone, and about a dozen 12 gauge rounds if needed.

The muff is a great piece of equipment, and was well worth it. I won’t waterfowl Hunt without it.

The only thing, which is preference, and something a buddy pointed out, it could be a bit more handy with an ammo sleeve on the belt or front to access ammo for those quick reloads. I agree considering during one of our epic hunts, we could not reload quick enough. You could probably buy an after-market sleeve and put on the belt if needed.

***when nature calls, you can clip the muff around a tree and use as squat handle or paper holder. Speaking for a friend.

5-stars. One of my favorite pieces of equipment. I will also use this for winter fishing and running the boat in frigid temps.
