I spent years looking for a high quality muff, and wouldn't even consider switching after having this one. Most of the muffs on the market aren't nearly warm enough, I finally found a Cabela's one that was but the waist strap broke off numerous times due to poor stitching. I bought the Sitka muff 6 years ago and haven't looked back. It has held up great after hundreds of days hunting and the waist strap is incredibly well built, not to mention camo as well which is just a nice touch (wish the new waterfowl one was the same way). Looks others have said it works perfectly with thin gloves, and also doubles nicely as a spot for a grunt tube, windchecker, rangefinder, etc. This is probably one of the best products Sitka makes for stand hunters.

Put this muff through the ringer on two hunts. One all day at about 5 degrees. Worked great with a hand warmer. I could have done without the handwarmer had I not had my hands out of it a long, hanging a stand! The other day started at about 37 and rainy and dropped to about 28 degrees. While the rain was heavy enough to get it wet, it stayed plenty warm- again with the warmer. Best part is that there's enough room inside that you can keep a call or something in the mitt portion. Plus the zippered pocket was big enough to keep my flashlight, my rangefinder, AND my compact binos all at once. It is so good at storage that I actually think I'll wear it in warmer weather just for that purpose. Very comfortable.

I'm just a regular guy, not a GORE tester or anything. This is probably the most useful piece of gear that I own for the cold weather. It just straps onto your body like a belt and gives you that "hoody" feel or your hands. There are internal pockets that hold hand warmers nicely and I use them in temps below 20F. Otherwise I use the "skimpy" Fanatic Gloves to maintain finger dexterity and keep my hands in this muff and it works wonderfully. My hands stay warm as if I was sitting on the couch at home. I hope Sitka will make these in the Waterfowl patterns because I could really see a use for it in both whitetail and waterfowl seasons. I can not say enough good things about this product. Great job Sitka.

This piece came in handy for keeping my hands out of the rain and warm. Can see this being very useful for those cold November deer hunts.

Great durable, warm hand muff. I use this a lot in colder weather. I owned the older camo version as well. My only complaint is they are a big bulky.
