Great product. I am 6'2", 200# and bought and XL. I also bought the gradient jacket in XL also and wore them both together in several hunts this year in freezing temps. I was sweating walking in and out and was just toasty sitting in ice. The size is a little big, but with the core layer beneath it was a perfect fit. It is definitely waterproof and the cuffs on the sleeves keep water out. The front pockets are also big enough to get a couple of boxes of shells in and most other essentials. The handwarmer pockets are OK. There is not a thick layer of fleece in them. This was probably the only thing about the jacket that could have been labeled a little better. The elbows also have abrasion resistant material that just add to the feel of a very sturdy jacket. I would definitely buy this again. The gradient jacket is also a great fit inside this jacket and they seem to be made for each other. Overall I highly recommend this jacket and I am excited to use them both in the future.

Have been using this jacket for the past five seasons. Been blessed enough to use it from Alaska to Texas in some rough conditions. I was very skeptical of this jacket because of the cost. I have been thoroughly impressed with this jacket. Layer underneath when cold and wear with a T shirt when warm. Be sure to treat the jacket each season and you will be back to new. I did experience an issue with the camo on the right sleeve after three seasons of use. SITKA took care of the issue and had it back to new. Very impressed with the company.

This jacket is made of quality materials. It is well made and a very good design, except for the two front "billow" pockets. The overal size of these pockets is way to small to to be effective for duck hunting and the stowing of gear. The opening for theses pockets is also way to tight. It is extremely difficult to gain access to these pockets with a gloved hand.

Awesome jacket. I wear the Duck Oven under it and got rained on 3 straight days in Manitoba this Sept. Meanwhile, my dad was plenty wet in his 'dry' jacket of another brand. Finally a believer, he ordered a Delta Wading Jacket & Duck Oven for himself on drive home back to the States. Worth every nickel.

I have used the marsh pattern for 3 years and the timber for a year now and this jacket performs flawlessly. I have been standing in the swamp in a rain storm and watched all my buddies "waterproof' jackets fail, while i stayed completely dry. I am 6' and 180lbs and medium fits me great with room to layer underneath.

I purchased a Hudson Jacket in 2X last fall. The fit was amazing for me (5'10", 200) with Sitka top and Dakota Hoodie. I figured that this jacket would fit the same. It was huge in 2x. The sleeves were longer than the tips of my fingers fully extended. Maybe without the insulation it made it that much bigger, I'm not sure. I called and spoke to the reps prior to returning. I may try an XL to see if it fits a little better. Otherwise, it was excellent just like the Hudson that I have.

Incredible customer service. You get what you pay for. The design of the pockets is critical for hunting in the rain, shell pockets are strong, and pit zips are great for hiking into the marsh. I bought this jacket a few years back and absolutely loved it until my shooting shoulder started to get tiny pin holes allowing it to leak. I sent the jacket back after hunting season to be repaired. A few days later I received a personal call from the head of the waterfowl line to let me know the Delta jacket had been redesigned since the one I had purchased and this failure was unacceptable. He proceeded to tell a brand new one would be shipped to to me as soon as this years inventory became available. The new jacket arrived last week. Great work Sitka!

Not sure why the sleeve length only goes up a half inch in the larger sizes. I guide and know people that love theirs and I would love to have this wading jacket to replace the one I have now but being 6'6" and having long arms there is no point in getting it because it wouldn't reach my wrist. Most of my other gear has a sleeve length of 37-38 for XXL. If I was to layer up in this jacket my other layers would just be poofing out the wrist, kinda defeats the purpose of having water sealing cuffs. Hopefully, Sitka will start making their larger jackets with longer sleeves or have a tall option, especially for their outer layers. Otherwise I'm forced to buy somewhere else which sucks because I'm trying to get my hands on the best gear possible, which seems to be Sitka.

Love this jacket...great in early season and late season, just have to layer up. The only problem I have is the arms are a bit tight at the chest area when I layer. I got an XL which is the same size of a 4:1 jacket. Just fits a bit snug.

The other day it was blowing 45 mph sustained, raining like crazy and 38 degrees, probably the coldest and hardest conditions in my opinion to stay warm in. I have a mile bike ride plus a half mile hike into my spot, all while hauling my gear and decoys. I was sweating like crazy by the time I finally arrived. Got pounded all day from both the rain and wind and at the end of the day I was still warm and was not wet from the rain or the sweat. In addition the functionality of the jacket is second to none that I've ever tried. Doesn't restrict movement whatsoever, even in the hood. I knew I would get a good product when I bought this jacket, but I think it has outdone my expectations. This jacket is the real deal!

I decided to try the layering concept after years of wearing heavy coats with liners. Could not be happier with the weight, cut, and fit of the Delta wading jacket. At the end of a day of hunting you feel much less fatigue. I layer with primarily Polartech to keep the system light. The Optifade waterfowl pattern is very effective where we hunt in Michigan's Saginaw Bay region. I am 6' and weigh 190 and the large is just right. Very athletic fit but does not bind. Worth every penny.

Absolute best purchase I've made for my hunting gear. The staff at sitka were there and very responsive. Theres not a trade in value for a piece of gear that keeps me dry when its cold. For South Louisiana marsh hunting its a must have.

I bought the Delta Wading Jacket at the beginning of the 2014 duck season, and I wanted to wait to review after a full season of use. I've had just about every waterfowl jacket made, i.e. Browning, Filson, Drake, Columbia, Cabela's, and this is the first jacket that is 100% waterproof and can withstand the coastal marshes of South Louisiana. This year four others in our camp made the switch to the Delta or Hudson too.

Perfect piece of gear! Thanks Sitka! After reading some of the reviews I decided to submit one myself. Have had this jacket for several seasons and it is amazing. Fit and function are the best on the market. As with any product there are sizing issues, however the great staff at Sitka are just a phone call away and when making a substantial purchase I give them a call on sizing and gear opinions. They have never steered me wrong. Hats off to Sitka for publishing all the reviews but I have to say, the line between a bad review and stupidity is very thin when it comes rep consumers. I mix and match all my Sitka gear and it works great! I take this jacket out west for early elk. It's fit and packability are amazing.

Very nice jacket, but too short. I’m 6’1”, 195, and a Large fits well with room for layering, but if I raise my arms as I would to shoot, the bottom of the jacket raises above my belt…a huge pet peeve. I wish this was made in a ‘tall’.

This jacket is designed and cut for people in the 225 to 250 lb range. I'm 6 ft tall 180 and this jacket swallowed me. On the description it states " cut large enough to layer underneath". It sure is if you plane on wearing 5 hoodies under the jacket. I'm very disappointed with the fit of this jacket. Why is everything made for overweight people.

I bought this jacket for a Duck Hunting Trip to Argentina this past week. It preformed fantastic. I wore a Kelvin Lite Vest under it. Perfect layering system for this time of year in Argentina. Sadly I returned from Argentina without the jacket. My Guide/Bird Boy liked my jacket so well that he spent his whole tip and bought the jacket from me. Now I have to buy another one. My guide had never heard of Sitka but he's a true believer now and so am I.

From Sept. 1st to March 7th of the 14-15 Season goose and duck seasons this Jacket is a must have. From those 85* mornings with light rain to the 10* mornings with a Duck Oven underneath I Count on this Jacket to keep me dry and concealed time and time again, The attention to details like all Sitka Gear is 2nd to none! Pocket location, hood configuration, wrist cuffs and zippers are phenomenal! This piece is must for every waterfowler that requires the most from their gear!

Over 100 days chasing ducks this year and the Sitka wader jacket was with me every minute! This is a not just a coat but a piece of equipment that is trusted to keep me warm and dry! This was the wettest and cloudiest duck season Kansas has seen in years! I used to say "not hunting today due to rain" Not anymore! Started early season in Central Kansas, was warm and wet! Not only protected me from water but a very determined hatch of Mosquitos... Ended on the Missouri river in a freezing rain that switched to snow and 40 MPH north winds....The hood is so well thought out you can hunt effectively with it on! Thanks for making such a great product...Will add to my Sitka equipment list by next fall...

Love this jacket. I've worn it throughout the duck season here in Washington. It got me through 35 degree days with torrential rain and I stayed warm and dry - which is more than I can say for my hunting buddies. One day in the blind we heard some turkeys up on the hill behind us. I crept through the grass and my wife said I essentially disappeared - sweet camo. To boot, I bagged 2 toms along with a handful of greenheads!

I bought this jacket primarily for waterfowl, but it lends itself nicely to fly fishing as well. I have never owned a fishing jacket that was more versatile than the Delta wading jacket. The hood adjustments are incredible. Having the ability to adjust the hood to leave just an opening for your eyes, and to have the hood move with you when you turn your head, is something I've never seen in a jacket before. This is my new favorite fishing jacket!!

I think the material is top notch. My wife took a photo of me in regular Cabelas DU waders with the Sitka Delta Jacket on and against the back drop you could not see my upper body what so ever and the darker waders "stood out like a soar thumb." I love this jacket, it's awesome but the only thing I'm not totally sold on is the magnetic pockets. Inevitably I ended up put stuff in them but the magnets weren't strong enough to hold anything back and thus everything I put in the jacket at some point fell out, not good when you're around water. I think rare earth magnets would have been better for this application as well as extending a seem vertically to create a little bit of an actual pocket. The rubber sealed cuffs are awesome. Probably my favorite feature is the particular type of GoreTex material that used wasn't that load. In the past my head phones would amplify the noise my jacket made drowning out what other hunters were whispering in the blind. This was key. Overall this is a fantastic jacket and I'm extremely thrilled about the purchase.

Bought this jacket to use in North Carolina for late season duck Hunts over my Duck Oven jacket. Wow, it's handled the nastiest open water hunting ever on Core Sound. Plan to give this jacket double duty. It's going with me to Idaho for a wilderness backpack hunt for mule deer up where the sheep are. I have a lot of Sitka gear, but I plan to use this with my Cloudburst Pants for my rain gear. The comfort of the hand warmer pockets were what sold me on this jacket, but it's the most versatile piece I own in my mind. Great product.

As we expect from Sitka, this jacket is well thought out and better than anything on the market. The fitting of this jacket is unreal. Everything is perfect. One of my favorite features though is the hood. They arent large hoods that can block your vision when you swing back behind you. Also, it is a smaller hood that fits perfectly over your head even with a beanie on. I want to say though, this jacket has no insulation. This is an early season jacket for sure. I used this jacket for early teal/wood duck in arkansas as well as early duck season in october in North carolina. If you want to use this jacket later in the season, you will want to roll in the duck oven. Over all this jacket is awesome for an early season water proof and wind proof shell. This jacket rocks and is worth the coin.

Amazing jacket. Every detail has been thought out and perfectly executed to create the perfect early season duck hunting jacket. The cuffs seal water out when retrieving decoys, the magnets that hold open the shell pockets make it easy to quickly reach for shells in a pinch, the water tight pockets didn't let any water in keeping my phone/wallet/license perfectly dry in a rain storm, ect, ect, ect. Sitka thought of everything and the result is the best hunting jacket I've ever owned. Well done!

Not only is this the best hunting jacket I've ever owned, it is the best technical jacket I have ever owned. Every aspect of it works for you and provides a measurable benefit. The cuffs strap down to keep water out. The pockets are perfectly placed to allow shells calls and maybe an extra face mask to be easily stored and retrieved. The hood is the first cinch down hood that I have found that truly moves with your head, which is extremely important when you're in a blind. Too many times before I didn't see some Teal or wood ducks zooming in because when I turned my head my hood didn't move with me and blocked my view. Yes this jacket is pricey but it is worth every penny. I have never had nor seen a jacket that compares to the quality of the Delta Wading Jacket.

This jacket fits perfect for my kind of duck hunting. I don't have the expendable income to get into duck club ponds so I do a lot of work in the dark getting to the spots that hold birds. The waterfowl season here in Eastern Washington starts with warm, downright hot, weather and ends with some howling, bitter cold. This jacket will do the job in all settings. Pit zips are a Godsend when you're lugging 2 dozen deeks on your back in October. It is uninsulated but roomy enough to layer up. The design on the articulated hood is a fantastic feature. I've never owned a jacket that allows you to keep your eyes on the sky during a downpour. It moves with you and keeps you dry. Pocket placement is another feature that makes you wonder why waterfowl gear makers haven't made this switch a long time ago. Weather you like your jacket outside your waders or tucked in, your pockets are accessible. One last word, durability. I caught my jacket a couple times on wire in the blind. Couldn't comprehend that it didn't tear a huge hole. Only one of those times did it actually do enough damage to create a waterproofing problem. Putting this jacket to the test was a true privilege of being a Gore product tester.

After much success with their big game gear I could not wait to get my hands on Sitka's new line of waterfowl clothing. With the Delta Wading Jacket Sitka delivered and then some. The cut of the jacket was spot on for wading, hitting me right above the waist line, keeping the jacket out of the water when wading. Another key feature was the water-sealing cuffs that keep water from surging into the sleeve when hands are submerged. The sleeves are articulated lending to uninhibited movement. Overall the build quality is extremely good and no details were overlooked. The Optifade Marsh pattern is an awesome concealment pattern and the Gore-Tex will keep you dry and comfortable. As a W.L. Gore product tester I have seen tons of waterproof garments and this one truly got me excited. I can't wait to use this for many seasons to come.

I used the Delta Wading Jacket as my primary outer layer this past duck season here in Arkansas. Jacket is just the right length for wading, you don't have to worry about soaking the bottom 8 inches of material. Pockets in all the right spots, two for shells down low and two for your hands up on the chest. Cuffs on the sleeves are great for keeping water out and warmth in. Spent multiple hunts in the rain and with my hood cinched down and zipper pulled tight I managed to stay warm and dry, nothing worse than a morning spent wet and shivering and he Delta saved me on multiple occasions. Jacket is uninsulated but fitted in a way that allows for ample layers underneath depending on conditions. I wore it in weather from 25-65 degrees and just varied my layers as needed. It is easy to roll it up and stuff it in your bag if you take it off on the walk to the blind. Zipper is great, over sized and easy to manipulate with cold fingers. Glad I was able to test this product for Gore and was very pleased with its performance.

Hunting almost everyday of the Virginia 12-13 waterfowl season, I can truly say this jacket is a must have. Perfect for the many different temps encountered throughout the season, from a t-shirt underneath to multiple layers. Keeps you completely dry, and moves with you on the swing. The many pockets are great for holding shells, calls, what ever you feel the need to have at the ready. The cuffs keep the water out when your bare handing decoys during early season, and stay in place when your putting the gloves on in the late season. Don't think twice about adding this piece of gear to your collection.
