I picked one up last duck season for myself and immediately fell in love it. I cannot stand my neck/face getting cold and the gaitor does a perfect job in keeping it warm with the fleece material. I also had to buy another for my son because he kept stealing mine. It’s one of those items you can’t leave the house without.

This is one deluxe piece of gear! Incredibly comfortable and warm you can use this while glassing, sledding, hiking, standing, sleeping, literally whenever you want to be warm and comfortable! Also those with large melons that are worried that it won't fit - my hat size is about 7 5/8 and it slipped over my large head so fear not if your hat size is below that, probably a size or two larger would be tight tho.

Let me preface by saying I AM NOT a "sitka" guy. This is the only clothing I own from Sitka and you can usually find me in a hodgepodge of Max 5 (duck hunting camo) and a Women's extra large puffy coat while sitting in my tree stand. With that said, I found myself struggling to stay warm on my all day sits in WI. I finally purchased this gaiter and my lord it has been the best money I have spent. Seriously, it DOES NOT matter the temperature, this material will keep your face warm. You can pull it up to your eyes on those days where you are asking yourself why in the heck you aren't sitting by the fireplace, or you can wear it as a simple neck guard. If you are struggling to click that purchase button, just do it. From one cheapskate to another, this is worth the money. My last piece of advice for you is if you are thinking about wearing a lighter face mask underneath this neck gaiter.... don't. Maybe it is just me, but I have found that this neck gaiter performs best when it is unrestricted i.e. when it is touching your face.

This gaiter saved my 2018 Kansas deer hunt. The weather wasn’t supposed to be cold (40s-50s) when I was there. However as the weather does, it changed. The last few days the temps dropped into the 20s with a steady wind and snow. This piece kept me warm and in the stand, even dressed for temps 20-30 degrees warmer than they were. It’s amazing how much heat escapes through your head/neck area.

This neck gaiter lives in my kit once the weather hovers around freezing. The inside fleece material is extremely soft next to skin and keeps my neck, ears and chin snug and warm as needed. This can be used with most any jacket/coat but I generally use it with the duck oven jacket, and a brimmed toque on top. This combination helps the duck oven hunt colder than it would normally would for me, and the neck gaiter keeps things warm while allowing great visibility and movement in the blind.

Wonderful piece of equipment to have on those cold days. Light weight and super warm! And if it does get wet, it dries fairly quickly. Would get full stars of it had a tapered design with the front longer and back shorter - a little bulky on the back of the neck, especially when paired with the Ballistic Beanie.

The best performing neck gaiter I have ever worn, hands down. It is amazing how this neck gaiter does not condensate against your face like other thick fleece neck gaiters. Fits well, not too tight and it stays in place regardless if you are using it for a neck gaiter or neck gaiter/partial face mask. I can even pull the back of it up over my ponytail and it stays in place without restricting my movement. This neck gaiter is my go to for all cold weaher hunting.

This thing is the bomb especially when driving a boat when its cold out. The fleece really helps break up the wind. I do prefer not to have this on when actually hunting however as it can be a tad bit bulky when trying to look around. I found myself constantly having to adjust my hat and or beanie one day this year while leaning up against the blind wall trying to peak up at the ducks, the bulk of this gaiter kept pushing the back of the beanie and or hat up on my head. It is what it is though, its made to be warm, I still Highly Recommend owning one of these.

Wish I could give more stars! First off, let's start by saying extremely comfortable, very warm, and surprisingly windproof. Like in some of the other reviews, it is something to always have with you in cold weather. The thing that came to a surprise to me, was how breathable it was. For being as big as it is and have the fleece inside, I was able to hike miles upon miles with it over my face. In fact, it's so good, that sometimes it gets a little too hot. Which is nothing to complain about. Highly recommend this product to anybody in the low temperatures. Definitely buying more for different occasions!

This beast is warm as heck! I was actually TOO HOT on a mountain lion hunt wearing this thing. If you are on the move, take it off. If you are riding snowmobiles or quads in single-digit temps, just pull this thing on and you are all set! Keeping your neck warm is tough in the wind, but this is a great "necessity" for glassing, sitting in a duck blind or on stand during a rut hunt. As a Gore product tester I try to understand how pieces can work together to maximize function without adding bulk or redundant layers. Couple this with a Sitka Windstopper beanie and you have one heck of an option for cold weather hunts.

Following the Call: Honoring a Waterfowl Tradition

My love of the history and tradition of the American duck call goes way back. I was eight years old when my parents handed me an old shoe box of calls that had once belonged to my grandfather and his brother. The calls fascinated me, and it wasn’t long before I started my own vintage collection and began attending duck calling competitions. Eventually, I was spending what would become invaluable time with Butch Richenback at his Rich-N-Tone Duck Call shop here in Stuttgart, Arkansas, learning everything he had to teach me.
