Built to perform in the harshest winter weather conditions found in late-season big game hunting. The glove features a 3-layer GORE-TEX taped shell eliminating the need for a waterproof liner which reduces bulk, increases breathability and maximizes dexterity. The removable high-loft fleece liner can be used during extremely cold weather or swapped out with any of our other liner gloves. A short gauntlet allows for tucking under the cuff of a rain jacket during nasty weather.

Had these gloves for a couple of seasons and put them through their paces in the Rockies (USA/ Canada) and while the quality of these gloves are well built, my hands are ALWAYS cold.... if you're pushing for elk at 10k'+ in the winter, you're gonna need a warmer glove. I found myself often removing the insolation layer and using the shell for gutting, rain or just overall hand work. But, I would not use these gloves for harsh cold temps. They cant keep up. I love Sitka for the attention to quality but I dont think its fair to say these gloves are gonna be great in -20c (-4F) temps. If the team is reading this, having a mitten that can flip open for trigger access or having a lobster claw style with your index finger being open might be a better solution as gloves just cant do what a mitten can. Thanks

I love deer hunting in the rain. I have the new jacket and pants that work great. These gloves don’t even come close to being waterproof. I had my jacket sleeves halfway over the gloves at my sides and they leaked so much so fast it was laughable. You guys messed up on this one.

Not as advertised. Hands are cold as soon as it close to freezing. Not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination. I run cold so I gave them to a hunting partner but no better luck for him. 2 stars because they have been very durable and more flexible with better dexterity than I anticipated but some of that benefit is lost with the finger tips cuts fairly wide.

I don't want to be mean but for what I paid for these gloves and to have my hands freeze this past season, it's hard not to. Absolute trash for 30 degree weather or below. I'm not even talking wet. I went duck hunting in the upper 20's to mid teens one morning and my hands froze. Then thought they would warm up after the hunt as I picked up downed ducks from kayak doing serious paddling . They claim to be waterproof, but NOT SO!!! How Sitka can get away with false advertising, I don't know. Bought some drake gloves this summer cant wait to use this season. Anything is better.

My favorite glove for cold or wet weather. Can't be beat. Just picked up the traverse which is supposed to work as a liner as well.

I was on the fence about ordering these for a long time. So glad I did! I needed a waterproof glove for my annual moose hunt which is often rainy and cold in northern Manitoba. I think these will do nicely, I like the option of running a liner glove in warmer weather if the thicker liner it comes with is not needed. These don't have the nice soft feel of a leather palm, but they also wont soak up moisture like leather. I think these gloves will be perfect for those days of freezing rain.

Disappointed in not keeping my hands warm. Not very comfortable to wear. Expected more for the money. The coats and bibs I've gotten have been great.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GLOVES. MY HANDS USED TO ALWAYS BE COLD AND NOW THAT PROBLEM IS SOLVED WITH THESE STORMFRONT GTX GLOVES. MY HANDS HAVE NEVER BEEN COLD ONCE. THANK YOU SITKA.

Used these gloves on an Alaskan moose hunt and was extremely disappointed. This is the first piece of Sitka gear I haven't felt was performing as advertised. As stated in other reviews the fit is funky. These gloves were warm only during activity. Using these gloves to glass was frustrating due to fit and lack of adequate grip with the fingers. These were not worth the price paid.

These gloves are absolutely waterproof. I love the fact that you can remove the liner. This allows you to use them in mild weather. In semi cold weather, you can use a glove liner like the gradient, traverse, or merino glove instead of the regular liner. I agree with the first comment that they’re awfully thick and can be tricky with a shotgun in regards to feeling and pulling the trigger. A trade off for warmth.

This a tough review to write. Im a tremendous fan of Sitka, and out of the 12+ pieces I own, this is the first piece I had to return. I can't comment on warmth, but the goretex shell feels absolutely bombproof, and water effortlessly beads off. But the fit, man I just don't get this glove. My hands measured were just under specs for a size Lg. So I figured Lg would be perfect. The glove fit around my hand great, but the fingers were far too short. My index and middle finger were too long preventing me from pulling the glove on completely. So I exchanged for an XL and now the finger length is perfect for the index and middle, but now there's about on 3/4 in Gap from the tip of the glove fingers, to my ring and pinky finger. Plus the velco strap feels very oddly designed making snugging the gloves down tight to be a chore. Finally, the goretex shell really limits dexterity because its so stiff. I have to give this one a hard pass

The fit is a little goofy and the velcro closure I don't love. Its hard to get on the opposite hand once you put the first glove on. However, these things are warm and absolutely keep every last drop of water out. I take the liner out when Im busting wet brush so my hands aren't a soggy mess afterwards. I use them with the liner when glassing or sitting for long periods in the rain. If they were easier to close they would be a 5 star.
