Love these pants. Super comfortable and quiet. Roomy pockets. If I could only change one thing, it would be a slightly more tapered lower leg. Have 2 pair and highly recommend. Nice job Sitka!

They are nice pants that fit well, basically business casual.
They are way overpriced for what you get though. They are paper thin and and are worthless for warmth. I had to walk through a briar patch leaving my whitetail treestand and basically destroyed them. They are covered in snags. They are dress pants not hunting pants. Imo

The traverse pants are lightweight and comfortable. I didn’t give them five stars only because the material is a little swishy.

Fit was excellent. If the pants are used as intended, open spaces covering miles in the mountains 5 out of 5. I used them more as brush pants in south dakota. Still a great pant just not as durable for that purpose. All day comfort and didn't hold burrs. 4 out of 5.

Sitka as always a very good product !! I have been buying and using their gear for years and have always been very pleased with the whole line up. And when you get caught out in the bush on a hunt out in the middle of now where and mother nature breaks loose in a storm and you have to spend the night out in the woods that I really did not prepair for then you really see how good it is.

Love these pants right off the start. Excellent, lightweight pants that fit great.

Things that are great:
1) Lightweight, breathable fabric
2) Waist gripper
3) Buttoning system (really!)
4) Pocket reinforcements
5) # of Pockets & location

These are my all time favorite pants I have ever worn, and I’d give them 10 stars if I could. I’ve owned many pants from different companies, and none of them compare to the functionality and comfort of these pants! These pants were the first piece of Sitka gear I ever purchased, and have since added quite a few other pieces of gear. I bought my first pair in subalpine, and they are my go to pair of pants for early season. I loved them so much I bought another pair in the off chance they got discontinued I didn’t want to be without a back up pair of my favorite pants. I love these pants so much I wish they made them in solids for everyday use, and come to find out they must have just added 2 new solid colors as stone and pyrite. Needless to say I jumped on them especially since they were on sale for 40% off! I will continue to buy these pants and I hope Sitka never discontinues them because they are literally perfect in all aspects from price, to purpose and comfort they hit it out of the park! I will say one thing I found while first trying them on. I normally wear a 34 waist in jeans. I tried the 34’s on and they were a bit snug for my liking. I decided to size up to a 36 so I can add layers underneath to wear these further into the season but they also have an elastic enough feel that I can still comfortably wear them without layers with a good belt. If your in the market for your new favorite pair of pants these are the ones! it is nice to try them on before you buy but if you do you won’t want to leave the store without them! For reference I am 5’9 190 but I have thighs like tree trunks so finding pants that aren’t busting at the seams in the butt and thighs can sometimes be a pain. As stated before these pants are cut perfectly and function flawlessly in my opinion.

I have NOT put any time in these pants as of yet, so the rating means nothing, due to I had to return them. I have a 34" inseam and the 34T which I purchased was way too long, I'd say by 2" and I usually like may pants a little long. So be aware and hope this helps.

I have 6 Sitka products, covering head to ankles and each is as near perfect as possible. Strapping on a snake shooter is a breeze because someone in design located the belt loops in the proper position to allow holsters. Love these products!

Great pants overall. They are light and comfortable. They do not hold up well to brush and thorns though. The bushes covering Lanai chewed these up and I had to put on my gaiters to save the pants from the knee down. These are truly a great early season pant but be careful if busting through brush or walking through thorns.

The durability of these pants prevented me from getting a very traumatic injury in a very vulnerable location. I was climbing a barbed wire fence at the T-post when the bottom wire slipped, dropping my 220lb frame directly on to the sharp steel edge. On my groin. Despite the weight and sharp edge, the crotch of the pants didn't tear. Had it not been for this fact, I most likely would've had a severe laceration requiring stitches and possibly surgery. As it was, I walked away with minor bruising. Excellent product; will buy again.

These are the pants that started me on Sitka pants. By far, and without a doubt, the most comfortable pant you will ever put on. They have room to move, they have just enough stretch and they feel amazing. I picked them up for a turkey trip out to Texas and now they are an everyday pant. I wish they came in more pattern options as well as solid colors. Definitely the best pant for mild climates.

Really impressed with these pants. They have great stretch, they hold up well in the mountains, and they keep you cool during the hot days. If these came in solids, I'd buy 3 more pairs to where every day.

I got these pants for a western KS antelope hunt with anticipation to use them for western elk as well. I give praise to the durability of these pants considering that I was either crawling on my knees or flat against the ground sliding the whole front half along bare/gravelly dirt and cactus ridden pasture ground that hadn't seen water for months. Hunted some hot weather(90+ temps) and staying cool was tough. This could also be attributed to the lack of shade and several miles of hiking that was done throughout the day. They picked up a fair amount of burs but they did come out with ease. As far as water resistance goes, there was nothing to gauge that on, though I never did feel like they retained moisture from sweat. The thing I was most disappointed with was the fading out of the pattern on the front thighs and knees after that week of hunting. Yes, this is more related to the style of hunting I put them through, but also makes me question how long it would take to fade out if used more in relation to what they were designed for. I would still recommend these if you plan on doing more hiking through mountains, the stretch and durability is excellent for being a lightweight hunting pant.

I expected better quality from a Sitka product... After two trips with these pants the pocket seam has come undone. I would barely recommend these for trips to the mall; one fall in the parking lot and you might tear the knees. My other Sitka products have meet/exceeded expectations, just not these pants.

Used these during spring turkey season. Kept me warm in the early morning, but weren’t too hot while hiking around during the afternoon and evening. Lightweight and extremely comfortable. I’ll be getting them back out for archery elk this fall. I’ve only used them one season, but they seem like they’d hold up to the brush-stomping grind. The zippered thigh pockets are a nice touch and have plenty of room.

Having used these throughout last season, they're an excellent pant. The fit is better than most with excellent flexibility. The fabric used was quiet for bow season, and held up well through many hunts while guiding. I would highly recommend this pant for a good overall hunting pant that can be used on a multitude of hunting conditions.

So far I have used these pants on 2 Arizona hunts with temps ranging from around 20 degrees (Northern, AZ) to around 75 degrees (Southern, AZ). At the lower temps I used a base layer underneath and the pants did excellent and I was warm. The pants did great at warmer temps without a base layer. The only compliant I have was I had a belt clip knife I clipped on the right re-enforced pocket and I found due to the pant stretch, the knife would get wound up and turned around at times. Near the end of my 1st hunt, I lost my knife as it popped off somewhere and I didn't feel it. On the second hunt I did clasp a belt clip knife because I did not want to loose a knife. The re-enforced area on the pockets, made for belt clipped knives, should be made thicker and more ridged.

I bought a pair of these in 34R, they fit true to my normal Levi's. Comfortable with a little bit of flex in the fit. I got these pants with the intent of using them during the early archery season in PA. Temps are normally in the 40s to the mid 70s that time of the year. On my hike to my stands even though I was a little warm the pants did a great job at keeping me dry with light sweating. The pockets are versatile and there are enough of them to keep just about anything you'd want in your pockets separated to minimize noise. As far as noise goes you won't find a better pair of pants to keep you quiet. I highly recommend these..

Haven’t had a chance to field test but the pant seems a lot like the old Ascent pant with some subtly upgrades. Comfortable and the 4 way stretch is a nice add. I’m a bit perplexed as to why there are no kneepad pockets? Weight? They are really helpful in your other pants. Wish the Traverse had them.

A Tale of Two Roars

Rustic wooden gates groaned open as our Toyota HiLux rumbled through. We navigated the rutted, winding dirt road; every pothole and washboard negotiated revealing another layer of the towering Andes Mountains. A gin-clear river meandered through the valley floor. Willows on the cusp of fall color shimmered in the cool afternoon breeze. This was the start of the annual breeding season for red deer in northern Patagonia—also known as the roar.
