I bought these because they
I bought these because they were on sale. I understand these are base layers, but when I get back to the camp from hunting I normally wear a shirt and my base layer. That is not possible with these, because they are uncomfortably see-through. I bought them larger than needed so it is not a sizing issue.

We're all built different
I REALLY wanted to like these, and I will give concessions on that these are great quality and I think its unrealistic to expect merino to have the stretch of a true legging; however, the picture does show them fitting that way. On me, they were too short and too tight in the legs but not tight enough on the waist to stay secure. There wasn't the stretch I would have thought there would be, but it stands to reason, again, because they are merino and not spandex. It was an odd fit, but I never had any doubt they would be warm and be superb quality. I did not end up keeping these because the fit wasn't right, but I'm also not sure what the answer or fix would have been. For me they were a miss, but I also understand we're all built different.
