How to Take
Your Measurements

Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone.

Wrap the tape measure under armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. The tape measure should be snug, not so tight that it constricts breathing, yet not so loose that the tape measure slides down. Don’t puff out your chest. Stand relaxed while measuring.

Measure your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your abdomen, between your ribcage and hips. Stand relaxed while measuring.

  • 4. HIP

For hip circumference, measure around your fullest point, approximately 8” below your natural waist.

  • 5. INSEAM

In a standing position, measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back.

  • 6. GLOVES

With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles and around the hand, excluding the thumb.

  • If Waist and Hip measurements do not match up on the chart, choose a size that is between the two to find the best fit.

Ex 1: If your waist measures 28” and your hip measures 40”, typically the best fit would be a size 29.

Ex 2: If your waist measures 27.5”, and your hips measure 38”, typically the best fit would be a size 28.

Everyone has their own layering system that works for them in various conditions. This jacket happens to be one of my favorites. I love the days when the conditions mean I will be using this layer. I have had this coat for at least 5-6 years. As an outer layer it is the most quiet SITKA piece I own (full disclosure I don't own that much). It is soft, it breathes great within reason, takes the chill off, can be used under rain gear without over heating if moving slow. It can fit over non camo or hunting clothes such as a big puffy jacket. After years of abuse it is starting to pill but the zippers are still going strong!

I wanted so much more out of this jacket for the price. While the fabric is nice, it is a flimsy, shapeless piece that doesn't work well as a layering piece or as an outer layer. It's too baggy to wear under a jacket and way way way too light to consider as even a mild-weather outer piece without lots of layers underneath.

Sizing: I wear medium in just about everything I've ever purchased, and this medium is WAY too big. I am 5'4" and 130 pounds. The sleeves are 1-2" too long and the armpits are ultra baggy with extra fabric. Perhaps this is for women with very large busts. I'm average and I don't need all that material. The jacket is also on the long side for a somewhat short person. In general, the medium is just really big and baggy for the average fit hiker.

Design flaws: The pockets are completely inaccessible when wearing a pack. I literally can't get anything in or out of the pockets with my pack on, which makes me crazy. The inside pocket zips the wrong way--from bottom to top--so that when you unzip it, your cell phone slides out.

Pluses: The cuffs are nice and stay put. The pattern is quality and I like the fabric feel--seems resistant to abrasion.

Main comment: This jacket isn't an expert at anything. Its designing was imprecise and I'm not sure what they were going for or why something this lightweight would be so pricey.

I got this coat from my Sitka obsessed husband for Christmas. I frequently hike and travel and am always looking for a quiet, non-bulky layer to fit over a long sleeved tee. This jacket is perfect. I frequently find myself coming in the house and forgetting to take it off because it's so comfortable. It's highly breathable and a better choice to an overheated fleece jacket. I never would have bought this for myself... glad he did.

This is a super nice lightweight jacket. Ordered a Medium as I wear medium in pretty much the rest of the Sitka line. Had to exchange it for a Small. For reference I’m 5’5” #130. It fits big compared to the rest of the mediums I have.

Bought this jacket for an Arizona archery bull elk hunt. The weather has been warm and cool and the jacket has performed great. Fit is very good and the jacket is very light and breaths well. Have used the jacket to both sit and kneel on while waiting for the bulls to come in and dampens the noise when getting ready for the shot.

Great purchase. Just wish sitka offered a womens vest in this material. Considering converting a jacket to a vest if Sitka does not come out with the womens vest.

I love this jacket. As a guide I need good layers that aren’t overly bulky for this cool fall mornings that turn warm in the afternoon! This jacket is perfect for fall and is extremely breathable and moveable which is something highly important to me. I would buy this jacket a million times over again.

Big fan of this jacket! I usually wear a L in all of the mens and the L in women's fits me really well. I usually have issues with sleeve length, but these are long enough. I also have pretty broad shoulders but I haven't had any issues with the shoulders being tight. I used this jacket at about 45 degrees outside doing backpack cardio. Had a t shirt on underneath and it seemed to breath really well. Nothing like a traditional puffy jacket. I think this will be an awesome jacket on those cold hiking days!

This is an excellent technical piece that offers warmth and exceptional breathability. Worn on a remote November Kodiak deer hunt, and provided thermoregulation during both hiking and spotting. I rarely took it off. Fit is perfect in my typical XS. Love.

My favorite piece I have ordered so far! Lightweight, super soft and comfortable. Will be perfect for that extra layer.
