The Early Season Whitetail Pant is ideal for silently ambushing bruisers before the velvet rubs off, when the temperatures still soar and the undergrowth is at it’s thickest. Lightweight and ultra-breathable, this pant expels heat and perspiration to help you keep your cool on the stand. The 4-way stretch fabric is articulated for the seated position, with a fully gusseted crotch, so you can pivot for the shot with no bunching or pulling in uncomfortable places.

Plenty durable to blaze trail through the scrub, the Early Season Whitetail Pant has built-in six-inch drawstring gaskets to cover the tops of your boots, keeping out all insects and debris. Prime-Time side cargo pockets, hand pockets, and a grunt tube pocket keep your gear close and quietly accessible. And trad shooters can rest their lower limb in the bow pocket, located low on the cuff of the pant.

"I like the stretch, durability, and fit of these pants. I’ll wear them hanging treestands and hunting when temperatures are above 50 degrees in September and October. I use the added feature of a pocket on the inside leg at or just below my knee by placing my lower limb tip in to help support my traditional bows. This gives me a great advantage by preventing muscle fatigue while remaining motionless with an arrow knocked when game is approaching."

The early season pant is everything that you read about in these reviews. I've been wearing them for two seasons now, hunting in the wet climate of western Washington and the cold dry weather of eastern Washington. I debated on whether to give the pants 3 or 3.5 stars but they are Sitka quality so I gave them the benefit of the doubt since if it weren't for the following they would be perfect. 1) the belt is sewn in, which wouldn't be a problem if it were a little stouter, but it's not so to replace it you actually have to cut the fabric. I did this so I could use their aircraft belt and now when I feed the belt through it gets hung up on the cut that had to be made. 2) which also has to do with the belt, if the pant waist is a lil large but dropping down a size is too small, the belt rides above the pant itself over the zipper and button....meaning it comes in contact with your skin. The belt loops are too far apart in the front which allows for this. Kind of irritating and not very attractive.....especially for $169.00 pant, not too mention the Stratus pant which has the exact same problem. I own a pair of them too. After writing this, I'm dropping the rating down to 3 really wasn't well thought out. All else is great though

I know for fact that Sitka makes some of the finest gear in the market, and I have never heard a bad thing about them. I myself own none of their products what so ever. I have been wanting a full outfit by them for a while now and have not proceeded to do so for one reason... Their are a lot of tall skinny guys out there, which I am one of them. And companies that decide to actually make tall's in bottoms and uppers usually can't even keep their tall stuff in stock, which means one thing. Its a demand but the supply is never met. Their guys out there that have 28-32" waists and wear their inseams up to 36". Sitka, make the first step. Do a trial run on your lower end early season pants in tall's down to 30" waists and I guarantee you won't even be able to keep them in stock. Keep your good work up guys!

These pants compliment the jacket very well. These pants are nice when staying warm isn't required , but staying concealed is!

These are the best early season pants I have ever worn. They are great for dove hunting and setting stands in the 100 degree Oklahoma heat. The limb tip pocket is the best feature. Just wish they came in size 32 tall.

They are as comfortable as your favorite pair of sweat pants if you were a Navy Seal. These pants are build with a purpose. Everything is exactly where you would want it to be.

I'm very skeptic about paying to much for hunting clothes. After trying this pant on I have nothing to say but "WOW". Can't wait to test it out.

I recently bought a pair of these pants and I absolutely love them. As soon as I get them, I wore them into the woods on an 85 degree day to hang a new stand. With no loss of movement, and with my perspiration quickly leaving me this task was a pleasure. They dry quickly when wet, and are as light as pajama pants. Stitching is excellent. Fit is excellent. As a recurve/longbow guy, I also appreciate the pocket sewn in for my lower bow limb. The boot gasket is also welcomed and as usual the pockets are perfect. You guys just keep hitting home runs with this stuff!

By far one of the most comfortable and quietest pieces of hunting clothing I have. I use these pants extensively, Sept-Nov in PA and then for Spring Turkey. They are light enough for humid 60s+, and I wear them with a base layer until about the mid 40s. The material gets through dense brush without snags and there is more then enough room with all the pockets. There is so much mobility and flexibility with this line and not having any extra bulk is an added bonus for getting in and out of my stand safely. The extra attention to detail, belt attached, boot gaskets, zippers and snaps that are silent are just the icing on the cake.

Sitka Gear's breathable fabric worked perfect for chasing bucks during the early archery season in Wisconsin. The lightweight 4-way stretch fabric removed heat and perspiration to keep me comfortable all day long. I wore these pants during September and October, and they performed flawlessly. I test gear for GORE-TEX, and this is by far my favorite purchase of the year.

Hands down the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn. They thought of everything with these. BEWARE of briars though, they will snag. If Sitka could toughen these pants up a bit, they would be an absolute must!

great pants! they are very comfortable and fit great no sagging thorns are little hard on them but a pair of pants do take a beating when hunting. The optifade forest pattern works real well. I will buy them again when I have to. Avice before you order them measure your waist and order that size or they won`t fit. I am not a gore tester

These are the best pair of hunting pants I have ever owned and ever hope to own! My first purchase was the Sitka Core Zip T a few years ago and I have been on the train ever since. To me, its the little details that make this gear the ultimate tool. Little things like the interior gel strip to keep your shirt from getting un-tucked, the gaskets to keep stuff from going up your pants leg, double fly, not to mention just plain comfortable material! I have used these pants for bow season in North Carolina Piedmont and they are still working for me and its October 22!

The ESW pants are probably the most comfortable pair of hunting pants I have ever owned. I've been bow hunting in Wisconsin since September 15th in weather ranging from 45-80 degrees and these pants have worked perfectly to keep me comfortable. I love the attention to detail as well to include the pockets on the thigh which allow you to access them while sitting, the built-in belt, and the way the pant bottom is designed to secure around your boots. I am definitely sold on Sitka’s ability to develop and produce leading-edge hunting gear. The Gore Optifade elevated forest pattern has worked flawlessly as well since I’ve had numerous deer walk 10ft from me without a flinch.
