Lower leg zips make it easy to pull the Bib on over your boots. Strategically placed chest, hand and thigh pockets keep your hands warm and your necessities off the forest floor. Just bought these bibs a few weeks ago for late season here in Northeast Iowa. Seen temps -20 below -35 below windchill. I was layered up and comfortable. Pros would be the straps are comfortable on your shoulders and the pockets. The only thing i don't like would be the Brushed Face. Beware of stickers they'll load up on ya.
I've been able to beat these bibs for 2 years now and I can say that this piece of equipment is critical to staying quiet, warm, and comfy in the stand. I opted to pair these bibs with the fanatic jacket. Why did I pick these over the fanatic bib, you ask? Because I wanted a bib that I can wear earlier in the season and stay comfortable and when the temps drop low, I pull out the kelvin pants and make these the best thing since sliced bread. As a product tester for GORE, I'm stoked to keep these bibs a part of my lineup for years to come. The only reason I have these a 3.5 out of 4 is because I'd like to see bigger leg zips.
I really like these bibs. I wore them all through mid to late season last year in WV. They are super quiet and very durable. The Windstopper really helps to cut the chill when sitting in a treestand. There are plenty of pockets, and the drawstring waist is a nice feature. This allows you to fold the top section down and wear them like pants while hiking. I do wish the leg zippers were "full length" instead of "calf length". They are a little difficult to get on/off while wearing boots...but it is possible. Also...I'm 5'8", 190lbs, with a 34 waist, and I wear a size large in these bibs. I can easily fit the size large downpour pants over top when it rains.
I love my Stratus Bibs! I used to bundle up like crazy to try and stay warm, but these pants are way warmer than my insulated camo worn in the past. Sitting in the whitetail stand for longer is a breeze with this item. I test gear for GORE and am faced with the decision of what gear will be chosen for my treestand hunts... the Stratus series has made the cut! With the textured material on the exterior, they are very quiet when I need to move in my treestand and silent when drawing my bow. Silence matters when you have close encounters with Whitetails. It's nice to have a bib that keeps the cold draft from chilling your lower back and essentially sending you home early. The lower leg zippers allow you to easily put your pant leg over your boots and your base layers don't bunch up from having to slide your pant leg up. The extra pocket on the chest of the bib is a great spot to store your cell phone or other small gadgets. These bibs are a must for mid to late season treestand hunting!

A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario. When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account. This is not an actual charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time. The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).
