Fahrenheit Vest

  • Waterfowl : Waterfowl Marsh
(12 Reviews)

Core warmth is key when opposing weather changes your hunting situation. The Fahrenheit Vest is a windproof mid-layer that features lightweight Primaloft® Silver Down Blend insulation with a GORE-TEX INFINIUM with WINDSTOPPER® membrane. The cut is slim enough to wear under heavier layers, but the woven polyester rip stop face fabric is tough enough to stand alone. No-Cold-Spot quilting keeps heat evenly distributed and down insulation in place.

I love this piece. It layers perfectly over a grinder and under a Dakota. It’s super warm. The vest is smaller than I expected it to be, it seems pretty puffy online but it’s pretty slim. It’s warmth is incredible for such a light piece. Sometimes I have to take it off because it’s too warm. That’s a good problem to have. I’ve got quite a few pieces from the waterfowl line and this vest will fit every system. Perfect amount of room. It’s not tight but not loose. This is a great piece for its purpose. Another home run from Sitka!

To this point, this may just be my favorite waterfowl piece from Sitka! Light weight. Packs down small. Very comfortable. Unbelievably warm. I do not think it is an exaggeration to say this piece is worn on every single hunt. Early season, it is a great piece to thrown on for the morning chill. As the season moves into the mid and late portions, the Fahrenheit Vest is a phenomenal insulating piece. I wear this vest over the Grinder Half-Zip and under other pieces such as the; Gradient and Dakota Hoodies and I stay warm, while not bulking up with additional layers. I was/am thoroughly impressed with this vest!

This vest has become a go to for almost any waterfowl trip. Very comfortable and light weight. Recently used this on snow goose hunt where temps ranged from 28 in the morning to 60 in the afternoon and it was just the perfect piece to keep my core warm and still allow excellent maneuverability in the blind.

Warm. I wear a vest every day in winter. I thought this one might be the best I could own. Wrong. Fabric tears very easily and the pockets do not hold up if you carry anything in them very long. Price is way to high for what you get. There are way better ones out there for the money.

This is the vest I had hoped the Kelvin would be but wasn't. Insulated AND windproof, mine in the Timber pattern, this vest under my gradient hoodie is a total winner.

Very warm insulation vest. I have to do alot of walk in hunts, wading through swamps, setting up blinds when we get there, etc. In other words, I build up a sweat, so I can throw this on once I'm done & it really does the job. I have been wearing vests duck hunting for years, I won't be looking for a better vest again, I dont think can be beaten!

I bought this vest to layer with my Delta wading coat and find this to be one of my goto items for daily wear. It’s more then warm enough on long days in the blind or great for everyday wear. I was amazed on how well it stops the cold Atlantic winds here while seaducking

The Fahrenheit vest is everything you could want in a layering piece. Light, warm and packable. I layered this the gradient hoody, and dakota jacket and have hunted the coldest weather we have seen in decades in our area. Low teens is cold for us here in NC. This a piece of gear that I will always have in my bag for any trip I take. Highly recommend this vest.

The garment is everything expected from Sitka. Only the finest quality in performance and materials. One of the warmest vests for the weight imaginable. The only issue I had with it is the sizing. I am about 6'3 and about 220 pounds and the vest fits very well through the chest and torso but it was very short in the front. The back has an extended cape which keep your lower torso warm, however in the front it was about 2-3 inches too short sitting well about the waist. If you are under 6ft tall I'm sure this is not an issue at all it it definitely could be improved on for us taller guys.

Following the Call: Honoring a Waterfowl Tradition

My love of the history and tradition of the American duck call goes way back. I was eight years old when my parents handed me an old shoe box of calls that had once belonged to my grandfather and his brother. The calls fascinated me, and it wasn’t long before I started my own vintage collection and began attending duck calling competitions. Eventually, I was spending what would become invaluable time with Butch Richenback at his Rich-N-Tone Duck Call shop here in Stuttgart, Arkansas, learning everything he had to teach me.
