The Grinder Half-Zip was born to pull double-duty for waterfowl season. Worn between a next-to-skin layer and a shell for core insulation or as a breathable, water and abrasion-resistant outer layer. Lofted fleece adds comfortable warmth during long sits in the blind, yet, still breathes during active work setting up decoys while retaining stretch for complete range of motion.

Why We Made This

Hunters have been looking for a durable lighter-weight insulation piece to get them through the rigors of waterfowl season. Our approach was to use the combination of lofted fleece for the interior to deliver core-warmth and superior abrasion resistance technology on the exterior for ultimate durability. A DWR finish provides water resistance from light precipitation that won’t wet-out the face fabric. The high collar delivers warmth and shelter from the wind while the half-zip design won’t interfere with your shots when the birds are in sight.

Eventually, I was spending what would become invaluable time with Butch Richenback at his Rich-N-Tone Duck Call shop here in Stuttgart, Arkansas, learning everything he had to teach me.
