There are too many reviews on here where people give a rating without using it in the field.
Well, I’ve used it in the field a few times now.
It’s pretty warm in 30-40 degree weather. I still felt a little wind when it was whipping. The collar is kind of annoying if you’re a bow hunter. Great pockets and it’s pretty quiet. Material hold up really well to thorns. You can walk through most anything and not worry about ripping.
I think with proper layering this jacket could be used when the temp drops.
    Fit is nice and accurate.
    I’d buy again.

I have the original version of this jacket, in the first iteration of the elevated I camo pattern. Absolutely some of the best money I have ever spent on gear. It still keeps me super warm and blocks wind like no other!

I bought this before the season started but now that I’ve used it out in the field, I feel I can provide some feedback.
First off, I’m impressed. Missouri had a cold front come through with 35-45mph winds and of course I was in the stand. Other than being stubborn and not wearing a beanie because it’s not late enough in the season, I was really comfortable! The material is surprisingly quiet and comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement at all. Definitely worth the money. The only improvement for the pattern (in my opinion) is less white and more brown but it’s not stopping me from wearing or buying more. 5/5, very happy with my purchase.

Hey all, wanted to write a review as this is alot to spend on a jacket and I struggled since there were so few reviews online. I must say, I love this jacket for multiple reasons but can not give it 5 stars based on design. For quietness, lightweight, wind resistance and warmth - this jacket excels. I just returned from a WY elk hunt and this was the only outer layer I wore for five days. One day it was mid-twenties, blowing hard, snowing sideways, etc. I had on a merino base-layer, a midweight quarter zip and this jacket. My guide kept asking if I was cold, not one bit, we glassed for hours and I was never cold. This jacket was designed as a whitetail jacked and has a unique collar arrangement that is supposed to allow a safety harness to pass through, some kind of magnet attached. For the love of all things holy, put a normal collar on this jacket and a slit in mid back like every other hunting clothing manufacturer. The collar on this jacked never lays right and is never comfortable - design fail. Not enough to keep me away from the jacket, but be warned. I would have preferred the Jetstream for my application, but the Stratus is cut larger (standard fit) for us folks that do not have a flat belly. Bottom line, if you need warm and windproof, and have love handles - this might be your jacket.

For it's weight, this jacket is incredibly warm. I had it on while I was doing 60mph on my four wheeler in 40 degrees the other day with a hoodie underneath and I didn't get a chill at all. Not even a hint of wind got through it. Fit is great, although the large is a little short on the torso. I own two of these jackets and prefer the large tall when I have more than just base layers underneath. (I'm 6' 180 for reference) All in all, this is an amazing jacket and is my most used outer layer in the whitetail line that I own. Only small complaint I have is I wish they would have kept the zip off hood on the new version instead of using snap buttons. They did this for the pass through system for safety harnesses, but I use a rock climbing harness so it really does nothing for me. This small thing wasn't even enough for me to take off a star because this jacket is that nice. Buy it and you'll be glad you did!

Wanted to get some good quality hunting gear for the season. Last week started my bow hunt, it was windy for a couple days straight and this jacket did not block the wind at all like it is supposed to do. Very disappointed as that is the only reason I went for the expensive stratus 'windstopper' in the first place. Not happy.

I bought for this for CO elk hunting as well as midwest deer hunting. I purchased the Large and it fits a little larger than the Sitka Mountain Jacket which is perfect as I can layer up on colder days. Quiet, warm can't wait to use this season.

Received mine in the mail and is so comfortable lightweight that I know I'll be able to stand in the stand for hours on end and not get cold. So happy with the jacket
6'1" 260 and the 2 xl fits perfect! So happy I bought it along with the Stratus pants and base layers.

A few nice upgrades on the 2020 version of this jacket but they don’t tell you that they reduced the size of the front pockets. Previous versions of the front pockets almost reached around To the kidneys allowing for handwarmers or large items.

Love the new design, this is most definitely the best Sitka piece to have for an outer layer for whitetail hunting. Perfect for Virginia cold season where you just never know how cold and windy it’s gonna get. I’m 6’3” and 300 lbs stalky broad build and the 3XL fits your effect and allows perfect for layering with the Celsius midi jacket and fanatic hoody under neath.
