How to Choose Between the Turkey Tool Belt & Vest

Join Chris Derrick and Ambassador Beau Brooks as they quickly break down the key differences between the Equinox Turkey Vest and the Turkey Tool Belt.

Choosing between the Turkey Tool Belt and the Equinox vest ultimately comes down to where and how you want to carry your gear. “For me, I could go either way, they’re both very simple and not cumbersome at all” - Beau Brooks. Both pieces are designed for run-and-gun hunters, with each having benefits over the other in specific situations.

The vest will be slightly warmer because it covers more area, but it holds more gear. It will also get soaked in the rain, unless you’re wearing rain gear over it. “If you’re one who says, I’ve found that the vest format works for me, I would say that the Equinox Vest would be the right fit” - Chris Derrick.

The Tool Belt is a little more minimalistic without sacrificing too much storage space. It’s ideal for warm, quick sits or those hunts when you spend most of the time moving from spot to spot.

Choose the Equinox Turkey Vest if: you sit for longer than 30 minutes, need more gear storage, or prefer to carry the weight on your shoulders rather than your hips.

Choose the Turkey Tool Belt if: you rarely sit for longer than 30 minutes, prefer the ultra-minimalistic approach, and don’t mind carrying everything around your hips.
