Never thought I would fall in love that much with a garment!! The warmth it generate is super soft and is not over warming you. It handles very well the level of exertion you are doing and keep you where you need to be. Great jacket!!

I love this lightweight comfortable jacket, great in cool weather into the 50s, but the one thing I don't like is that this jacket's hand pockets are not lined (unlike the Ambient 200 which is). That's why it gets 4 stars, not 5 for me, given the price point of this jacket. I'm 5'11, 155 lbs, and a Medium fits great by the way.

Extremely comfortable piece that I will have on every hunt from here out. Outer layer received pilling day 1 from my seatbelt. Not a big deal as its performance is more important than cosmetics. I’m generally an XL in everything. It fits great except for length. Runs short for my build. 6’4 215lbs.

I like the jacket very much (it's light and breathable) but was disappointed when the cuff easily tore pulling it on over other gear. The rubber at the end of the sleeves keeps out the wind but is too small for my XL gloved hands to slip through and so tore far too easily -now there is no wind protection on my left hand and the tear is growing.

For 350 you’re better off doubling over your bed sheets. This jacket is so thin I could watch tv with it over my face. I understand the active insulation but it’s not insulating anything.

I had the previous ambient hooded jacket when it initially came out and tended to fray when I wore a pack with it. The new one doesn’t fray or have wear spots after hiking. Definitely recommend since they fixed the quality of it!

This jacket is meant to be worn under other layers. But even if that’s the purpose just know the face fabric is about as durable as a Kleenex. This will pill if a rough surface even glances in the direction of the jacket. If you were to be around a blue collar person and heaven forbid you are one simply rubbing this with calloused hand would cause this to nearly fall apart. I actually love this jacket for warmth and it is quite versatile but there is something I loathe about high end gear that has to be absolutely babied or replaced after even the lightest of uses if put to the test. Gear has this sliding scale that begin at dirt cheap and also incredibly fragile, then moves to good durability and solid price (ie justified), then it hits the Sitka/Arc’teryx level where you get this high end gear with almost obscene prices however the sliding scale of price and durability instead goes at Mach 1 in opposite directions. This has to be absolutely babied to keep in good condition and could never be worn as a stand alone item. This is use after about 1. 5yrs but zero hard uses and honestly was primarily used as a jacket in winter while commuting. Not sure how this can claim the face fabric adds durability because it just ain’t. If I were them I wouldn’t even mention durability in the description
