This jacket is so awesome!! I can’t believe how warm this jacket is for how light it is!! Not to mention I can’t even feel the wind when I’m driving my boat at 40! Plus the hood is very form fitting!!

Ambient 100 hooded jacket review

Love this jacket! Used it this weekend for scouting turkeys and it kept me warm at the same time being breathable. Surprisingly more wind protection than expected. I did get one snag in it from thorns but not terrible. 100% would buy it again and may do so in a diff color. I’m 5’10 and weigh 230lbs originally ordered an xl but exchanged for 2xl being where I like my jackets not to be too snug.

This camo color is AWESOME!!! The colors blend well, it's definitely turkey season camo to early rifle!! I recommend anyone thinking about the new Cover camo to buy it!!

The jacket is great. Works well in the wind and colder weather with layers while also functioning with temps around 40/50 as a light outerwear. Highly recommend it for areas that have large seasonal swings.

It's a great under layer.

It's a great under layer. It's cozy and fits well. It's super light which is great for my archery set-up. I've been wearing it for rifle season in the winter and it's been awesome underneath my other sitka layers. I haven't been able to test it in September yet, but so far it's been great. It's quiet, light, and warm for what it is. I'm 6'1" and 195lbs, I purchased a Large and it's a good athletic fit.

During chilly mornings and evenings. My favorite of the ambient line but love them all.

Just What I Needed

I've been looking for something to add an extra layer on chilly mornings heading into the turkey woods. This jacket is perfect! It is just enough to keep off the chill, quiet and great fit!

H 5’11 W 240 XL fits perfect. I have multiple ambient pieces and all work great. Perfect for hiking in the mountains or use as a layering piece in the deer stand.

Fantastic Tall!

Love this piece. So warm and soft against your skin. Love the stretch. Dries super quick and makes a great mid layer. Thankful for the talls! Fit is great. I’m 6’6” 220 w no gut.

Class of its own

This jacket performs amazingly. It’s very warm when stationary and it breathes as good as anything I’ve ever tried for its warmth. It also just feels like pajamas when putting it on it’s so comfortable. My only very minor gripe is I feel like the front “collar” could be cut a little lower, when the hood is up the zipper is up around your mouth. That’s a preference thing. Performs amazing.

Awesome Lightweight Jacket

Perfect for mid 20's to 50 degrees. Very lightweight and stops wind quite well. Fit is very true to size. I purchased a Large at 5'11" and 180 lbs and it fits perfectly.

Warm, breathable, light, packs small

They really nailed this jacket. It’s better than my heavyweight hoodie in every way. It’s warmer, more breathable, lighter, packs smaller. I’m 6 foot and 190 lbs and the large fits perfectly. Plenty of sleeve length. I also bought the ambient 75 pullover and the fit is not as good unfortunately, the sleeves are much shorter but everywhere else fits fine, might need the large tall in that one.

I love this jacket. I did experience a tear in one of the pockets, but I notified Sitka and sent it back for repair.

Great piece that can be worn in many different temperatures and environments, great wind protection, bought a second one. Was my most popular piece guiding in the Yukon last fall!

Excellent jacket. Size L fits my 6’1” dad-bod frame well and kept me comfortable from Chicago to LA on a February flight. Cannot recommend enough.

Not warm

For how much I paid, I expected the jacket to be at least a little warm. If hunting in sub 50° temperature you would need additional warm clothing.

At 6'2" 235lbs I wear the XL in everything Sitka and this one fits just as great as others. Packable and warm while being super soft for being lightweight. Another great product!

Sitka Ambient 100 - black

I really wanted to give this 5 stars; however, within the first two days of light wear around town, it was already beginning to pile on the exterior. A little piling isn’t a huge deal to me… but it does raise some concerns about the long term durability of it.

My favorite light jacket. Perfect weight for 3+ season in South Georgia. Only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because exterior fibers seem to “pick” rather quickly.
