I was looking for an insulation layer to put over my base layer. This has worked well for keeping me warm while active/hiking and with a pack down to around 40 degrees, then I can add a shell and get down to about 25 degrees. I've been pretty active in this and never felt overheated. Lightweight, doesn't retain body odor.
