Ambient 75 Hoodie

This is a must have item for your hunting gear. With a base layer and this mid I am comfortable bow hunting in 37 degree weather. The hoodie is great for cold ears and the DWR is effective in a light rain.

Great hoodie

The Sitka Ambient 75 Hoody is easily one of my favorite pieces of hunting gear. It’s extremely lightweight, comfortable, and surprisingly warm for how thin it is. It breathes really well when hiking or climbing, but still keeps you warm when you slow down or stop to glass. The fit is great and it layers perfectly under a shell or heavier jacket without feeling bulky. It’s also quiet enough for hunting and packs down small, so there’s really no reason not to have it in your pack.

Excellent Breathable Midlayer

I purchased this piece as an active mid-layer for mid to late season hunts. If you are backpack hunting or covering mileage this layer is very breathable and has a great athletic fit. I personally found the Heavyweight Hoody and Ambient 100 to retain too much heat and moisture when on the move. This piece is much better. I will say that I wear a Large in all things Sitka, but in this piece, I had to order a Large-Tall. I am 6'1" and 195 pounds, and the sleeves and overall length in the Large were far too short. Please make this in other solid colors!

Midseason Mid-layer

Perfect mid-layer for cooler late October mountain hunts. Not too heavy, not too light. 4 stars because the material on the shoulders is a bit thin for my liking but seems to be holding up so far.

Best Hoodie ever!

I started with an XL, but the sleeves weren't quite long enough for my long arms. Returned it, and they sent me an XLT. . . PERFECT! This is my go-to hoodie all fall and winter long and easily my favorite hoodie/jacket. The ambient purpose for active temperature regulation works to perfection!! So when you're walking around, moving, ets the pores open so you don't sweat. Then when you stop moving, it closes up and keep you nice and warm!

Only disappointed item of sitka

First off the feel just seems cheap compared to all my other Sitka gear, snags easy, super afraid of getting it caught and tearing it. Would only use it as a mid layer if you had to have it. The fit is extremely small, definitely go up in size. The inside scratches my skin, I work construction so I have dry and callouses and the material feels horrible on them. Definitely better options from Sitka than the ambient line. I got XL like everything else and even 2xl was tight in the shoulders and mid section

Wasn’t as expected

The material felt cheaply made compared to other Sitka items. Ended up returning it, was afraid that the material would easily tear if used as an outer layer. The fit is snug in the mid section compared to other sitka items as well. If your plan is just to use as a mid layer it can be effective but other then that was a super let down

I love this hoodie perfect weight for temps in the 50’s. The sleeves are a touch short idk if that by design because I don’t have that problem with any other Sitka piece I own.

I absolutely love this hoodie! It's light and warm. I wear it for everything from golf to cruising timber. This hoodie is great for layering under other jackets for additional warmth when needed as well.

Greatest hoodie ever

This is the softest most comfortable, durable hoodie I own. I bought two in optifade and two in green. I wear them hunting all year and even around the house. I wear it to the gym. I even got The guys on our swat team to wear the green ones under our kit for every day use. These are the nicest sweatshirts you can buy.

Great layer - upsize one for the right fit under the arms - athletic build - slightly long in xl at 5'9" - but a great piece for moving without having to strip down in cooler weather here in Western Colorado.

My favorite

I have size medium for next to skin and large for over long sleeve t-shirts and daily wear. Second time buying it since my wife keeps steeling the first because “it’s so warm and cozy” Very comfortable. Excellent breathing to warm ratio. I wear it every day and every hunt. No rips with the old or new one.

Solid piece

Very comfy and perfect for 55-65 degree days. My only issue is the sleeves are too short for me. Now knowing, I’d order a “tall” in the future. Aside from that, it’s a great piece

Ambient hoody

Extremely happy so far. This piece is lightweight, super packable, very comfortable, great range of movement, super warm for weight and relatively wind resistant as light as it is. This hoody fits very well under exterior clothes for an excellent mid layer in colder temps. I would highly recommend this piece for those looking for a great stand alone in mild temps and perfect mid layer when temps drop.

This has become my new

This has become my new favorite hoodie! I love the weight of it. I'm looking forward to elk season, and finally having the perfect addition to my layering system.

Great active layer

Used this recently on a 5 day back country elk hunt in Colorado. Was the perfect layer to throw on over my baselayers to keep warm during glassing, or while cooking dinner at camp. Was breathable and warm and kept me comfortable hiking at temps in the 50s.

Bought the ambient hoody for

Bought the ambient hoody for Alaska goat and sheep hunts. Haven’t had a chance to use it much yet but the quality, construction, and fit are excellent.

Performance

The Ambient is a fantastic insulation layer: it’s warm when you’re still and breaths well when you’re on the move.

Better than I thought

This is has become my favorite shirt. I love the weight and breathability. I have worn this numerous times as a base layer matched with a light jacket. Perfect for 40 degrees days. The oversized front zipper is awesome as it allows easy on/off. The hood when not worn doesn’t interfere with my jacket and lays flat.

Really like this pullover! Great weight. I'm wearing it like a sweatshirt. Fit is great. Only thing I would change is the cuff on the sleeve.

GREAT LAYERING

Comfortable, light weight with unbelievable warmth. Have been wearing it for the last week in ND under my Grindstone jacket down to 30 below windchill with no issues. Great layer and looks great.
