Good all around boot but

Good all around boot but a bit heavy compared to the GoreTex version. If you plan on doing serious walking or handling muddy terrain spend the extra money and get the GoreTex version.

Great pair of boots that’s worth the cost vs the regular pairs you’ll find in big box stores. Have worn these out bow hunting and walked about 5 miles with total comfort. Have worn them during waterfowl season and trekked through the slop and mud and stayed on my foot when I sank in at times.

Sitka Back 40 Boot Review:

I’ve been really impressed with Sitka’s Back 40 boots so far. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and feel solid whether I’m working or out in the field. The traction is great, and they’ve held up well in different conditions without feeling bulky. I normally wear a size 10. 5, but I went with a size 10 in these, and the fit is spot on. They run just a little big, so sizing down worked perfectly for me.

Great fitting boots - enjoyed

Great fitting boots - enjoyed my Timber ones so much I bought a pair in Earth for non hunting days. I’ve gone through my fair share of rubber and neoprene boots. These have the best heel lock without causing pain. I have a narrow heel and a narrow/medium ball of foot. I do feel that the opening of the shaft is a touch narrow but not so that I can’t get 2-3 layers still tucked in around my calves.

Great boots for the hang and hunt, much warmer than my last set. Actually waterproof and thanks to the gym, they aren’t even close to too heavy like some have said. 😂

Good fit and excellent insulation

These are great winter boots for those of us who like to enjoy nature’s beauty in cold weather. They are easy to get in and off. The traction is good even in ice.

The Boots Are a litte big in the acual size not ft size but use them all season from lock ons and sadldles no sliping issues and was very comfy on the feet and took 2x as long for feet to get cold! (very impressed with the warmth). Only issue i had was walking in to my stand on the first hunt a stick ripped the boots and made them no longer waterproof so cant rate the waterproofness

Warm feet mid/late season means more time on stand. Long walks in and never once had sore feet. Amazing boot, highly recommend.

So far so good. Seem to be nice and warm, got them after the coldest part of the northeast winter, so I have not tried anything below 20ish Fahrenheit. Comfortable, supportive, tall. Would buy again.

Changed insoles

We like the boot, but only after we changed the insoles. My son and I both had to swap the insoles to a thinner one to lessen the pressure in the arch. Very warm.

Hunting boots

These boots wear like a running shoe. They are light weight, warm, and comfortable. Definitely the best boot I have bought to date.

Good boots, they squeeze your feet a little, if you have wide feet, you should pay attention to this! I was in the cold at -7 C for 7 hours, and for 5 hours it was great, but then my feet started to get cold. The boots are light and comfortable.

Three of my hunting buds were raving about the fit and comfort of the Back 40 boots, so when I saw them on sale I pulled the trigger. Very nice. The only problem now is making sure I grab the right pair when I get dressed at camp in the morning.

How did you do it Sitka? These boots are amazing! From day one this is the most comfortable pair hunting boots I have ever owned. I used the boots a full season before giving a review because I wanted to put them to the test and give an accurate review. The quality is unmatched like every Sitka product I own. I often walk over a mile to a hunting location and cannot believe how comfortable these boots are. The boots also perform well at various temperature ranges for long sits. I crossed streams several times with water close to the top of the uppers and my feet remained completely dry. The boots proved durable while traversing all types of terrain. Because of the cost I really researched various options and could not be happier with this purchase. Simply put, worth every penny!!! If you are looking for great hunting boots, quit looking because you have found them!

Great Boot

I bought these for a snow goose hunt in Arkansas and they worked amazing! They keep mud and water out great, clean up very easy and feel like walking on a cloud!

Very happy with this purchase, these boots are very warm, water proof, and comfortable. I was worried about them slipping on me, but they’re actually snug enough to not heel slip on me at all
