We designed the Cloudburst Pant with a single philosophy in mind: Miserable weather should never turn hunting into a miserable experience. We spared no detail in developing a pant that maximizes comfort and ease of use for dedicated big game hunters. The lightweight, 2-way stretch GORE-TEX® Fabric is Guaranteed to Keep You Dry®. The face fabric, an abrasion resistant 2-way stretch polyester weave, is durable and allows the pant to move with you as you push through the torrent.
All zippers are welded and watertight, which is significant, since there are a lot of them on the Cloudburst Pant. The full side zippers make for easy on and off in rapidly changing conditions, and can be used for ventilation during periods of high exertion. Four zippered hip pockets eliminate the need to dive into your pack or midlayers to retrieve key gear. Elastic cuffs seal out the elements. With all these features, the Cloudburst Pant remains incredibly light and packable, so you don’t have to second guess whether to bring it along.

This review is for Sitka's service and not necessarily on the cloudburst pant itself. The gore-tex layer on this garment ultimately failed me. I filed for a repair/replacement and shortly after the item was in the mail (I mean a half hour, so had not even left the shipping facility) Sitka was calling me and asking me about an exchange. I was leaving for a long rifle hunt the next day so had already replaced the pants with the Stormfront pant and asked them if there was any way I could exchange these for the Dewpoint pant so I had a pair of rain pants at either end of the spectrum. All they had to say was "What color do you want, Subalpine or Optifade?" Impeccable customer service! After using the Stormfront and the Dewpoint I am convinced that the failure was a fluke. These pants were solid before the failure and after washing three or four times to soften, and once the face fabric was wet in the field, the rain noise was not bad at all. Pockets are well thought out, and full leg zips are a breeze to get on and off in the field. A great fit and slight stretch makes sliding over those high logs easier than ill-fitting pants with less give. As a side note I have the cloudburst jacket that I kept and is still functioning beautifully and pairs well with the stormfront or the dewpoint pant. You can't go wrong with Sitka products with such a strong warranty and customer service!

Sitka hit the nail on the head with this one. All the pockets in the right places, suspenders, belt, lightweight and nice stretch. I would also recommend that if you typically wear a size medium, get a large as I did.

Lightweight. Reasonable anatomical fit. I'm a 32in jean waist and the medium were too snug. Swapped for L to accommodate under layers. Belt allows tightening excess at waist. Unfortunately while I am a 32 inseam I found the regular 32in inseam length riding up my boots a bit too much for comfort. Would prefer a 33 inseam, but that's between sizes. My biggest issue with them is they are noisy as all get out. So not ideal for stalking game on foot. I haven't dared wear the jacket at the same time as the pants.

I used these Elk Hunting in MT. as weather changes there fast these pants work well. The side zippers making taking on and off these pants over hunting boots a breeze. I used these pants in heavy rains and they kept me completely dry. Once you are done using them they roll down tightly to fit into a back pack. They fit true to size as advertised

What method do you use to ship your products?
A. All of our orders are shipped via FedEx. Standard Ground, 2-Day or Overnight deliveries are available. Additional charges do apply for express shipments, oversized items and/or duties & customs into Canada.
How do I track my order?
A. If you have entered a valid email address through the checkout process you will receive an email from FedEx with your tracking number when your shipment is processed.
How long will it take to receive my order?
A. We make every effort possible to get your order processed and shipped in a timely fashion. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days of order placement. If an item on your order is backordered or out of stock, you will be contacted by a Sitka Gear customer service associate to discuss alternative options.
Why do I need to create an account to order online?

Why does my credit card show two charges?
A. Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only a temporary scenario. When a purchase is made, an authorization is placed on your card to temporarily hold the funds on your account. This is not an actual charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account at that time. The authorization will drop off your account within 2-3 business days (depending on the financial institution).
Can I cancel my order?
A. We may be able to cancel your order but can only do this by telephone. Please call us at 877-SITKA-GR as soon as possible after you have placed your order. Otherwise it may be too late, as we try to process and get orders out the door as quickly as possible.
