Sitka Bluff Berber Jacket

Like every piece of Sitka gear I own, it’s top notch.

Better Worn Inside Out

I find this berber warm and more comfortable wearing it inside out.

Bought this for my Birthday, just missed the 'cold' so haven't worn it out yet, but it is warmmmmmm from what I can tell. Pockets could be a little larger for the opening as the sleeves are thicker. But I do love this jacket. I have found if you plan on wearing hunting gear size up for layering. If buying for everyday, buy your normal size. Size M was purchased as L sleeves are too long and looks baggy.

Windstopper keeps that NW chill off you, I was out in a cold wind recently but I couldnt feel it thru the fleece, I love it. Room to layer nicely.

Great late winter jacket

Bought this to have for the Dec to Feb travel to the great white north. Its warm, comfy and blocks the wind. Bought one size up so you can wear winter stuff under it. Looks good if going out to dinner or doing the outside chores Great jacket.

Very great jacket

I originally bought this jacket to be used while motorcycle riding. It works really well for that purpose it prevented me from getting really bad road rash from a recent low speed wreck. The jacket came out with less damage then I did lol. I bought this jacket with the intention of putting under lairs on so it is a little big for a person my size and it is perfect.

I’ve got a Black Bluff Berber that I use for both hunting and everyday use …! Now I recently purchased the natural heather also for everyday use and Also will work great for Bow season. . ! fantastic comfort in a wind blocking jacket. I use it for birding and hand hold large cameras and lens with target rifle style and this is perfect.

Bluff jacket

Bought bluff jacket to keep warm in Sitka, Alaska. Jacket does well keeping off wind chill and is decently water repellant. Most of the time I am sufficiently warm with a T-shirt or long sleeve underneath. Not sure how durable the fabric for the drawstring, chest pocket, and elbow guards are since they seem very thin. No issues so far with rips. Would rather the drawstring was thicker, it’s pretty thin. Overall, good jacket for keeping warm in a year round cold and windy environment.

Wears well in car- outside and in windy conditions. Very comfortable with a style that is loose fitting to provide full range of motion. Worn over a tee down to 25F.

TLDR: super comfortable and warm but not too hot for me. Medium was good size for my frame with enough room to weather another layer if I wanted. It really is windproof!!

Berber Jacket Bluff

The jacket is awesome. Fits really well, looks stylish, has great pockets, and is amazingly warm for how thin it is. It’s a quality made jacket and has a unique look about it, setting it apart from anything you probably own. Would highly recommend. The brand seems to run big so if you’re a large like me normally, get a medium.

Not what I have come to expect from Sitka

Spoiler alert I ended up returning this jacket. It’s the only Sitka piece I’ve ever returned. The wind stopper component was great. However, the overall fit was all over the place - long in the arms, tight in the chest. I am 5’10” and about 175-180 and purchased a MED. I tried to like this jacket but just couldn’t. The elbow patches also looked very small and almost short changed. The whole forearm should have had the more durable padding in my opinion. All in all, I love Sitka but this design fell short of what I have come to appreciate out of the brand.
