This is my primary pack. I love all the pockets and the ability to carry a stand if necessary for the long hikes into public land. One suggestion for improvement would be to allow the side 'wings' to be cinched tighter, the space between the bag and the flap is genius but seems too wide even for a couple sticks on the side.

Backpack weight is listed but when you add gear as suggested it’s feels as if someone is pulling you backwards it’s heavier to use empty backpack with sticks only attached for saddle hunting then it is for me to carry a large summit climber. Backpack also was assembled wrong with zippers on backwards

I recently purchased the Sitka Cargo Box pack. I had heard good things about it but hadn't experienced them for myself. I am happy to say the pack is all that it is said to be. It has a ton of space, lots of pockets etc to hold all of the gear you will need for all day sits!

I currently have an Eberlestock X2 that I’ve been using. I needed something a bit smaller for a day pack used during whitetail season. The cargo box works perfectly for that. It’s got more storage than I’d expected.

I bought this pack specifically to carry in fanatic set. I put the bibs and jacket in separate compression sacks and am able to fit both inside the pack but that’s all that will fit. If I need to put something else inside I can use the straps on the outside for one of the compression sacks. In one of the outer compartments I put my yeti water bottle and snacks. The other outer compartment I use for misc. items. In the lid compartment I put extra gloves and hat. I use ladder stands and stands built in trees so I cannot speak to how it works with bringing in a hang on. Prior to this pack I used a badlands super day pack and find the cargo box to be a better fit for what I need it for.

Absolutely love the functionality of this pack it is by far the most versatile, quietest and easy to use pack. However my only suggestion and hope is to see this pack one day offered on a real frame system for when you are loaded up with a stand, sticks and camera gear it can get heavy and you feel it.

Bags great for what it is but it would be awesome to have a place to strap rifle to when dragging a deer 5 miles out of the woods. That’s normal for trackers. Waterproof super quiet so deer don’t hear branches sliding off and know it’s human fabric not hair/hide and carry the rifle at the end

Excellent pack, but several suggestions for next version. SUGGESTIONS FOR SITKA: 1. Please ditch the side pocket on the left side belt and the windicator pocket the right side of the belt, and replace with large molle attachment grid on both sides. The current pocket is too small, and the windicator pocket is too small for anything else (flashlight) if you don’t use a windicator. A molle webbing grid will greatly enhance the versatility of the pack, allowing for owners to place any current or future equipment holders, pockets, etc on the pack. 2.Change the shape of the bow hoist rope holder pocket on the upper front flap from right side access to a full U-shape (access from both sides) or straight across the top with 2 zipper pulls to allow access from either side. I (and I suppose others) use the pocket to store essentials that require easy and quick access. Having a primarily right facing flap limits access to a critical pocket. REVIEW: I purchased 5 different high-end packs from major makers, and this is the pack I am keeping. It is also the heaviest and most expensive, but read on. This pack is a great size, and useful for most hunting types. Fit, finish, materials, layout, quietness, and quality are excellent. It has more pockets than you will likely be able to use (because as you fill them, they limit the space in the associate compartment, such as the side wings). However, they are great for organizing and finding things in the dark. I primarily whitetail hunt from a saddle, and rarely pack a stand in. I typically strap my bow to my pack to keep my hands free, and may also attach my sticks. I was looking for a solid pack with a waist belt and frame to the distribute weight of my bow, sticks, equipment and clothes. I addition, I was hoping to find a way to place my bow against my back in the “lock on stand section” of this pack for protection and stability — quick answer: even with some mods, it was not worth the effort, and remained better to strap my bow to the front of the pack. I was initially concerned that the pack would be too large, bulky, and heavy. However, the size works very well and is not too bulky to wear in or hang from a tree. In addition, even though this pack is the heaviest of comparable packs (measured 7.35 lb empty), the internal frame and belt make it feel much lighter and more comfortable / nimble than my older Sitka Tool Box (3.9 lbs) without a frame. I can’t stress enough, that unless you are going minimalist and carrying you bow and sticks, having a pack with a frame and sturdy belt is the way to go. If the pack and side wings are not full, the straps and buckles are arranged in such a way that they can act as compression straps, and allow the straps from the wings to reach across the back of the pack and be utilized to hold a bow in place. In this configuration, the wings reach up and offer additional protection to the bow string. If the pack is full, I use a 1” tubular webbing material with buckles threaded between the back of the pack and the main frame for optimal stability. (The straps on the front of the pack allow too much sway from a bow attached in this position.) The side wings are actually quite large, and surprisingly allow me to carry a full size set of Leica 10x42 rangefinder binoculars inside them with room to spare for other items. In addition, I placed a 1” thick piece of memory foam in the thin pocket on the inside of the front of the pack, and use this to lean my knees against while saddle hunting so I don’t need additional knee pads. My only concern is that the material used for the internal “see-through” pockets feels very thin and fragile. I trust Sitka that they researched this and would not put poor material in such an expensive flagship product, but only time will tell. In summary, this is a high quality pack that allows plenty of options. Rating: 4.5/5. Hope this helps those trying to decide. Best wishes. Mike D.

Just picked up this pack for myself and I am absolutely in love with it. It handles weight very well and keeps it off your shoulders and there is so many pockets I'm sure some I haven't even found yet it comes apart very easy and is simple to do the material it is built out of is good and sturdy over all it's a great pack and perfect for what I need and I recommend this pack for anyone I will be taking it on an aoudad hunt during the spring so we will see how it holds up then but I know it will do great

I have nothing bad to say about this pack. So many straps and pockets I can carry about anything I want to. I mostly do saddle hunting. With the one stick method. . But I have carried up to 4 sticks , 2 on each side. I know for a fact it will haul out two boned out TN does.I do have one complaint and it’s that I don’t have an extra one for when this one tears up and of course they probably won’t make them anymore . Great pack . Definitely recommend.

I love this pack, the pockets, lid, material, and functionality. The reason why I am giving it 3 stars is because it doesn't take on weight well. The hip belts might as well not even be there, if this pack was on a frame system it would be perfect. If you mobile hunt, saddle hunt and/or self film the weight adds up quick and this pack just doesn't distribute it well. All the weight is pulling on your shoulders and back. I carry more weight in my elk pack at times but it feels like less than what I put in this pack because it is on a proper frame system and great hip belts. So if Sitka is planning on updating this pack anytime soon, would be AMAZING to see one on a frame system.

Didnt come with a pull rope as described in the video and would have liked it to include some kind of keepers for the excess strap length in a lot of places, small button or velcro wraps would work. Over all its the nicest pack they have made IMO. Plenty of room and a lot of thought went into the functionality. At this price point I shouldn't have to resort to rubber bands to keep the straps from hanging everywhere.

Switched my pack to the cargo box. At first, I thought it might be a bit too big. After a few hunts with it (2-8 mile hikes), it’s awesome. I’m able to carry my stand and all of my gear with extra room to spare without putting a lot of stress on my back. The stand mounting system works great and I’m still able to strap my bow to it without worrying about it banging against anything. Highly recommend this pack to anyone that likes to get deep and do all day sits. Has plenty of pockets to organize your gear. This also makes it easy to get to when the pack is loaded.

I bought this pack looking for an all around pack. I love the ability to have a pack with frame and able to carry it all. However I found this pack to not be very practical in a smaller tree. Just due to the size, its big and bulky and has 9000000 pockets. When I have something with that many pockets I spend more time looking for where I put something. So I've mostly been using the frame strapped to my stand.

I have went through so many packs over the years and I have had good ones, bad ones and some that were just ok. But never had a perfect one, until now. This is the mack daddy for whitetail hunting. Even as a saddle hunter i use the wings for my sticks, and then my layers go in between where your stand goes with my platform. Camera gear has plenty of room inside along with food for all day sits. Spend less and cry more. Spend more and cry once. Best pack ever. Keep it up Sitka.

Absolutely the best pack out there for Whitetail hunting. I previously had the Tool bucket and loved it. But this pack has much more room more pockets and I love its ability to pack in extra layers easier. I will put my Fanatic Jacket between one of the wings and fanatic bibs on the other wing and not put them in until I’m up in the tree. Yes I could do that with the tool bucket but I couldn’t access things in the pack until I removed the clothes from it. Not the case now. You can access every part of the pack with this items still attached. Another huge bonus is all the internal pockets. I also feel it’s more comfortable than the tool bucket even with a heavier load now.
