It's like a bag over your head
Not tight and stretchy like other balaclavas. There is no way to keep this thing up over the bridge of my nose. It just falls down over my mouth constantly.

Ok...
I'm 5'8" 175-180lbs. 7-1/8 for fitted hat size. Typically wear s/m in flex fit style hats. I feel like my head swims in this balaclava and tt also seems a little short. I feel they could have taken 1/2-1" of circumference material and added that to the bottom length instead. Maybe have s/m and l/xl sizes in the future with the current OSFA being more on the l/xl size. Material and warmth was good this morning in the 20 degree New England weather. So weight and material choice are great, but the OSFA leaves much more to be desired.

Needs Improvement
Swing and a miss on this one Sitka! I have many Sitka products, and I've always bought Sitka because of the innovation they bring to hunting clothes, but I genuinely don't understand how this product missed the mark so bad. As a "Heavyweight Balaclava" this product should be geared toward extreme cold but its not. The material is thin, and in no way wind proof, the face opening is to big and there is no cord or anything that would make it adjustable so you could tighten it to get the wind off most your face. A lot could be improved on with this product. I mean heck, create a fanatic balaclava, I don't care I just need something warm!

Great product disappointed in pursuit options
I bought two of these years ago when it was available in marsh pattern. As of the past few years I have not seen it available in marsh nor have they released a timber pattern since timber was launched. Please bring this back for water fowlers. So for not being available in other patterns I give it a 3, functionality is great.

Great piece of gear. It
Great piece of gear. It does protect from wind. This is the first balaclava I have used that I don't get a headache from the wind. It allows your head to breathe and yet keeps you quite warm. I love how packable it is and yet does not have many down sides. It could be a bit longer, but I am also built like a Neanderthal.

Lightweight and warm. Hunting in
Lightweight and warm. Hunting in the southeast, so winter isn't as bad as some places but got down into the low 40's with some wind and my head stayed comfortable. I keep my hair short, so I did not have the issue of my neck becoming exposed, and was able to tuck the tail into my base layer. First day of use, had a small buck walk around my stand and at one point looked right at me, and acted as if he couldn't figure out what I was. After a few moments, he carried on his way without being spooked. Worked great, only thing I would add would be a small bendable wire around the face opening so that it could be shaped and hug the nose but even without that I had no issues with field of view or staying warm.

Super warm and light, which
Super warm and light, which is amazing, but I wish 2 things were different: 1. It were a combo of a balaclava and a facemask, where the bottom part covering your mouth could come up or further down, similar to the fanatic hoody’s hood/mask. 2. That it were longer. This thing rides up my neck pretty bad, and I even try to tuck it under my base layers. Overall though, this is a nice piece!

I'm a fan of this! Super lightweight and can compress a ton, taking up no more space than a pair of socks! Only thing I would say is make a longer neck almost like a fireman's hood. That way you don't open up your neck to the elements!
