I have purchased these is most of the colors available. I love them, and they are durable enough for a season or two depending on how hard you are on your gear. They are light weight and don’t retain body odors even after multiple days wearing the same piece.

I recently found myself back home in Georgia helping out in Brantley County with assisting family and neighbors with wild fire preparations and evacuations. Shortly before preparations, my Sitka gear arrived to include the crewneck long sleeve as well as the guard light pant. Although not what I initially anticipated using these products for, I was in the middle of a move from Georgia to Florida after retiring from the Navy and utilized the gear for several days in which the product stood on business- no odor, no insect issues while out in the field, and no discomfort at all. The comfort level was always there and that’s due to the quality of the production value. I had the opportunity to stop by the Atlanta store in the Battery and the store clerk Chris was very helpful and after he directed me to a few different outfits and product try-ons, he made me a believer and I will be a Sitka groupie from here on out. Good Base Layer

This base layer is good for what it’s designed for. It does snag very easily. It’s a very high price to pay for a garment that is so fragile it will literally snag on a peeled, boiled egg! As for providing the function of a base layer it does perform well. The weave being a knit makes it very prone and susceptible to snagging.
