I’m new to Sitka. I have had a ton of UA clothing for several years now. I bought some Sitka for opening day of dove season. It’s always hot here in Eastern NC so I wanted something to blend in with a soybean field that failed due to flooding. Some of the plants were green some were brown. The subalpine was a perfect fit for those conditions. Lightweight and kept the mosquitoes at bay. After that I gave my UA gear to my son and have gone crazy buying Sitka gear. Great stuff.

Typical lightweight base layer. Good

Typical lightweight base layer. Good to have in like patterns. Keeps the stink to a minimum and held up rather well in the briars and bush. Sometimes when hiking off trail I will down grade to the base layer. They always seem to pull or get strings pulled from them when breaking brush. This product didn’t do it as much as others I have used.

Light enough to keep you dry walking into and out of the stand in hot temps.

Fit is good. Moisture wicking and breathable. Does not help with odor like merino.

Sitka gear shirts

These shirts are extremely thin and lightweight, which I think is great when the weather is hot. I was surprised twice when wearing one shirt. A young buck looked and stared right at me when I coughed and he apparently didn’t pick me out in my tree stand. He did eventually leave, but quickly came right back to my tree. Days later, a group of doe walked directly downwind at 25 yards and apparently did not smell me, although I sweated after walking a mile to my stand. I was and am impressed. And happy.

Fit great (medium was prefect I’m 5’10 170) and in high temperatures is amazing. Only draw is the limited durability. In western PA thickets walking through hip to chest high semi thick brush on game trails that are far from impenetrable the brush tugged at the sleeves. Going through 50 yards of this brush tore strings and threads lose from the arms and near the waist. Something most of my other tops would have handled with no problem

The light weight design is amazing for Louisiana early season. When temps get in the 90’s this shirt helps keep you cool and the material doesn’t smell like others I’ve used in the past.

Just wore this yesterday on a hunt and it was a nice shirt to have on when it is slightly warm out. Fits great and an important part of my Sitka arsenal.

Great tee! I have several in different patterns. They’re great for early season upland and big game hunts. Also my first choice as a base layer for the cooler fall temps and cold winter days in the blind or stand. Good fit and love the thumb loops!
