I love this item. It’s perfect for wearing on those hotter days if you would just like to have on some camo, but at the same time it’s an amazing base layer pretty much year around.

I wear Sitka core lightweight

I wear Sitka core lightweight crew as my base layer, and I am very pleased with the quality and performance. I am a licensed hunting guide and guide 4 to 6 weeks a year. I recommend Sitka light weight crew to all my hunters and friends.

I will preface this with, I own A LOT of Sitka gear and love almost all of it. Not with this thought. I was not impressed by the feel of the material or the sizing. The feel is very scratchy and cheap feeling. Almost like a synthetic you would get at Walmart. The next is the sizing. This is always a major issue for me with Sitka across all of their gear. I originally went with a small because I have an equinox hoody that’s a medium and it’s huge, it fits like a large. So I thought with it being the same lightweight gear the sizing would be similar. The small definitely did not fit so I went with a medium. I get the medium in and it was not much different from the small. For reference, I’m 5’11” 185 athletic built.

You can tell this is quality. Soft feel, rich camo color. I'm 5-9 185 with a 42-43 chest (usually a large) and this large was within that size range and more of a snug/slim style fit, but not tight or restricting. If you prefer a looser fit, I'd suggest going up one size.

Great product! Your gear is

Great product! Your gear is a big investment but no gear works well if not used correctly. The base layer is your first line of defense in being dry, warm and comfortable. This product wicks moisture very well and dries quickly, not to mention how comfortable it is on your skin. These guys build high quality stuff that works, worth every penny!

This is the foundation of every kit I own. The thumb loops are such a simple and genius stroke of perfection. Love them. Dries incredibly fast.

This is most likely just

This is most likely just a ME problem, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the thumb loops. While they are good for their intended purpose of keeping the sleeves down, they did tend to rub a bit until it felt kind of raw. I feel like having the thumb loop pulled more down into the sleeve like on the traverse hoody would have been more comfortable but again, this could just be a personal preference for me. Overall, it is a great base layer, very lightweight and keeps my sweat away from me. Despite my feelings with the thumb loops, I will most likely buy more going forward and will continue to wear this one. I recommend this product.

5’10” 165# bought the large and it fits well. Love it’s breathability and lightweight.

Fit is a little tight

Fit is a little tight due to broad shoulders, went with XL could stand to go one size up. Overall quality is good, the thumb straps are nice and prevent bunching up of the sleeves when layering.

Great product. Barely holds any

Great product. Barely holds any odor after a 3-4 day hunt only taking off and airing out at night. Not the MOST comfortable on the skin for me but it does its job well at wicking moisture and controlling smell.

Bought this for a “next

Bought this for a “next to skin” layer. I camp while hunting and go several days without showering. I like this layer for sleeping and wearing out hunting. They don’t really hold a smell and are surprising warm. If needed I’ll add a heavyweight on top and it never feels bunched up or constructing. I call them my “silkies” because they remind me of the silk weight base layers the military issued with the ECWCS system. I’m 5’10” 190-195lbs with an athletic build and large fits perfect. They have a slightly snug fit, but I wouldn’t call them tight.

Great in the Texas heat. Still felt cool and comfortable when wet from sweat and then dried quickly. Very quiet material.

Incredibly breathable! Unexpectedly found myself

Incredibly breathable! Unexpectedly found myself out in 90+ degree heat and 92% humidity after a storm cleared earlier than anticipated. I was shocked how comfortable I was. Only area that was hot and wet was my back and that’s due to my Ascent 12 daypack on my back.

Great fit, and extremely comfortable. Useful for warm Texas early season hunts and a baselayer for everything else. I'm 6'1 and 185, thin build. I went with Large Tall for extra length on the arms which firt perfect.

I bought this pieces as

I bought this pieces as a light weight top for warm weather and a base layer for the colder weather and it’s working great for both! I am also a tall guy so the longer length really works great for me.

This baselayer has been great on my last few hunts. This is a must have. I have used and abused this shirt and it is still going strong, I'm really impressed. I will be buying more. These shirts will keep you warm and dry quickly if you get them wet.

Guess I didn't have the

Guess I didn't have the luck the other reviewers had. I had one in a size medium and I am 5'9, 160lbs. It was a good fit. After only wearing it one time, the stitching under the right arm became loose and a hole started. Second time wearing it just made it worse. It was too uncomfortable to wear and an obvious defect in the stitching. I have no idea where these are made but was not happy. Can only give 2 stars and shouldn't give any.

I purchased this shirt and

I purchased this shirt and the core lightweight hoody today from a local store and I love the hoody. It fits great and this LS shirt also seems great. The only complaint I have about it is the fit around the chest is a little tighter than the hoody. I honestly think in the future I will just purchase the hoody over this shirt as it is not much more and the fit is superior and comes with hood and built in mask.

Best synthetic base layer I

Best synthetic base layer I have worn. I have tried other 'poly blend' base layers and they aways end up smelling like a stale locker room after a few days in the field. This base layer can be worn for multiple days without feeling like I am going to blow anything downwind out of the unit

Absolutely nothing to complain about! This is the best shirt for Arizona archery season. I would give it more stars if I could. There are five of us in the hunting group and we all love them.

The lightweight long sleeve worked

The lightweight long sleeve worked great for an unexpectedly warm WY pronghorn hunt. Was perfect when paired with the Jet Stream jacket for the 40's & 50's in the morning and wore just the lightweight the rest of the day with 70's & 80's. Any wind had a noticeable cooling feeling. Highly recommend for anything during warm hunts.

This is a must have for hunting out west during archery season. Breathability and comfort is key for warmer temps.

I wear this shirt for early season and as a layering piece next to skin. Its super comfortable and a great early season shirt. The hand loops make it very easy for layering other pieces.

This is a great base

This is a great base layer. It fits well, wick moisture and controls odours very well. I am however disappointed in its durability. After only one day of trekking through brush, it has many threads that have been pulled which caused the fabric to pucker slightly. Given this is designed for hunters and is a premium brand, I expected it to be much more durable.
