Gear fits great, very comfortable. Great in hot weather and the hood and face mask is a great feature for the sun and mosquitos.

Perfect early season hoodie

This is my second Core LW Hoodie and I love it. Hunted this past weekend in 80+ degree weather and it kept me cool on the long hikes. When I settled in, it dried very quickly and kept me warm as the sun went down. I use it as a base layer on cooler days and it has served me well. Built in hoodie and facemask are comfortable and functional, meaning I have less things I have to mess around with. FWIW, I still use the first one (have had it for a couple of years, so can also attest to the quality lasting for years.

Best Warm Weather Top & Cold Weather Base Layer

This is my favorite top to wear outdoors. It offers protection of the arms from vegetation and insects. It’s breathable and comfortable. I can wear a base layer underneath for added warmth or add layers on top without feeling too bundled up. I especially like the hood and face mask for hunting concealment. I typically wear a medium but I ordered the XL to make room for my pregnancy during hunting season this year.

quick dry keeps moisture at a minimum. facemask built in is awesome. like so much I bought a 2nd. we'll maybe it had to do with the 10 lbs. I put on. lol u won't regret buying this

I've been in the guide

I've been in the guide industry for 22 years full time and I've never found a core lightweight hoodie like this one. It stays cool on muggy days and breaths on hot days and the hood is perfect you can see in both directions with out getting in the way. Highly recommend this hoodie. I've been telling everyone about it.

Core hoodie

The only reason that I give this product 4/5 starts is that if the hoodie comes in contact with any kind of Velcro ( tonneau cover, pack, tent, gators, etc…) it gets caught and causes minor damages. Otherwise, it is very comfortable and lives up to the name!

This piece of gear is critical to stay cool and a great price to add to your layering kit! It’s an all around go to piece of gear for me, especially as an archery hunter! Quiet, sleek and stealthy you can’t go wrong.

Great hot day base layer… not durable

This layer works great for hot days, but unfortunately after two days of use is already showing serious signs of wear.

Core lightweight hoodie

This should be that “THE” for every hunt, no matter where you are going. It’s that versatile. Hot, cold, rain or dry, it doesn’t matter. One of the best items to have. I wear a mixture of large as a tighter fitting underlayer and an xl when I am wearing it as a stand alone layer by itself.

Nice hoodie

Bought this for spring turkey when it’s warm. Breathes well and dries fast. Built in face mask is really nice. I plan to get another one for early season whitetail.

Great fit! Highly recommend!

This fits great. Not bulky at all and can be used under layers easily but still plenty comfortable to wear as a single layer in the heat. I got to try it in some higher heat and it was still great. My only slight issue with it would be that the mask feature doesn’t stow out of the way without pulling a little tight. Not sure if this is a me issue though because I have a larger than average head and that might be pulling it tighter. Overall would definitely recommend.

Nice hot weather shirt but runs small

The shirt is great but I had to exchange for a larger size. Luckily I was planning a trip to Dallas and was able to go try on several garments.

Love this layer!

Keep this in my bag in the truck. I’ve used it to keep the sun off me fishing, back trails in Colorado and near the Rivers where the temperature drops. Turkey hunters, and warm blooded folks must have.

Core lightweight hoodie

This is a great versatile layer to add to your system. Already been using it on a mountain goat hunt and have been very pleased with it. Hiked wearing this as an external and then throw a jetstream jacket on when I get up top.

True to the Sitka roots, extreme quality, and quickly became an every day essential for me. Extremely versatile from walking the local farmers market to staying comfortable lugging around heavy packs. Extremely impressed with this hoodie.

All time favorites!

I literally have every one of these. I can wear them stand alone or as a base layer. I absolutely love the fit, and the breathability. Weather I am hunting, hiking, camping or anything outdoors I always have these with me. One of the best pieces of technical clothing in my arsenal. I am 5-11.5 and 185 lbs.

Core Hoodie Light

I like this hoodie because it is nice and light which is why I bought it for motorcycle riding. It fits really nice. Sometimes even in summer when you’re riding it gets just a little chilly and this is the perfect garment for taking the chill off when a jacket is just to hot. Also keeps the sun from burning you up. So it serves my intended purpose.

Sad to say I’m disappointed…

Let me begin with the fact that I own two other Sitka core lightweight shirts and one is also a hoodie but in Subalpine camo. I wore this new core lightweight hoodie (green) to the rifle range where it automatically pulled in two different spots and I wasn’t even moving thru brush. I then wore it in a 2 day high alpine bear hunt in WA state… it pulled in so many spots I can’t even count them all. I love the feel of these shirts, the weight and how quickly they dry but with the pulling of the threads, the new shirt isn’t wearable other than as a base layer and looks worn out and tattered already. I’m not sure what Sitka did with the material or the thread count/etc but I hope they can make changes for the better on the core lightweight hoodie.

Poor quality

This hoody isn't built to last. I wore it one time in a ground blind and got a bunch of snaggs when I rubbed against some velcro. Not really what I expect out of a top tier hunting apparel company. This is more of a casual shirt meant to be worn around round smooth objects.
