It’s very easy to rip. I wore it hunting once and catching a couple tree limbs has already torn it in 2 spots. Sadly greatly unimpressed in comparison to other merino items I own.

I purchased this hoody for a western elk hunt in Wyoming. The material was fantastic at keeping me comfortable during long hikes and significant weather swings. I wore it daily for a week. At the end of the week the hoodie didn’t smell terrible. I like the hood and face shield it’s convenient to have connected and not need additional pieces of clothing. I highly recommend.

Core merino is must have

Must have piece for any kit. Great as outer layer when hot and base layer when temps drop.

I love this hoodie!

This hoodie fits great, feels very comfortable, and works perfectly as a base layer or a standalone on a hot day. I will definitely be buying more of these.

Love the hoody in the hot Florida sun

I have been wearing this on the Florida heat and the wicking the wool provides is awesome. Happy with this piece, glad I got it.

12 Merino hoody

Feels great. Neck gaiter isn't my favorite, but I can see a use for it. It does fit a little tight. Probably should have got the XL, but most other sitka I have is Large, so I assumed it would fit. The Hudson Jacket I have is the other way around. The Large fits a little big. Kinda hard to dial in a size per clothing option if you can't try on.

Early season must

Lightweight yet warm. Great for cool mornings and evenings, but not too hot and bulky in the heat of the day. Great base layer when it gets cold.

I have had merino wool

I have had merino wool socks for a while now and they’re great. I bought this for October hunt haven’t used it yet do to summer heat but tried it on very comfortable. Time will tell come October

Love the material , weight and comfort, but there should be pockets or one big one by your waist similar to a hoodie sweatshirt

Nice features, mediocre fit

Hood mask and zipper are what I wanted. The body is sort of drapey, not as form fitting as the core merino zip shirts. The bottom hem needs to be about an inch or so longer to keep it from riding up when I’m crouched. It’s about the same length as the zip shirt but because it’s not form fitting, it leaves a gap. I’m 5,8”, 155#, wearing a medium.

Very Nice

Overall I'm very happy with the core merino 120 hoodie. It's super comfortable and quality materials. Only complaint I have is it's short and I use it as a layer. Being short, it comes untucked easily.

I absolutely love the whole design of the core Merino 120 hoodie. From the thumb holes to the built in face mask, to the thin ness of the shirt making it breathe able, is perfect for early season sits in the stand. If you get hot the front zipper almost comes down to your belly button so that is a great feature. I will be honest I did sweat when I wore it early season but it wasn’t a burning up sweat, but it was from the design of the shirt to keep the sweat smell absorbed in the shirt so it doesn’t spread your smell. I don’t know all the technical specs wording for it, but it still felt great in the stand, but as soon as late season rolls around you can slap that thing on as a base layer, so I think it’s a win win getting a shirt you can use any time of season. Think you did great on this one Sitka!

Good, not great

I have a merino wool hoody problem, I have many from multiple companies. They are all good, but this one has a couple issues for me personally. I don't like the elastic around the hood that pulls it up tight around my hat so that the rigid corners of the zip collar poke up against my neck and chin. It's fit is also a bit small for a large compared to others. It also is a little shorter than I prefer at the waist. Finally, I prefer a true quarter zip and this one is more like a half zip. For the record, I have a friend who considers this his favorite merino hoody and recommended it to me. To each his own.

I bought this top for

I bought this top for early deer season which can be hot in the 90’s or 100’s. Very happy with the light weight and breathability of the wool fabric which helps the perspiration evaporate and cool you off in the slightest breeze. Much more comfortable in hot weather than the 100% synthetic top I was wearing before. I will say that walking in this shirt around any sticker bushes like blackberries is tough! The stickers grab the fabric and don’t let you go.

Feels nice and breathable, I appreciate the quality of shirt, wool is a excellent material. It's structure adapts and activates as the wools interacts with perspiration to wick out moisture.
