I like it!

I was in the market for new base layers. I purchased a variety from Sitka and FL. Overall they are very similar. I think Sitka has a little better fit and more value for your money. What makes Sitka stand out is their customer service and shipping. They are superior hands down. The fact that they have tall sizes makes me a customer for life. Thank you Sitka for thinking about the tall guys.

Class leader

The 250 core merino half zip is an excellent example to this type of garment. Excellent thermal properties, excellent fit and finish. It is quiet. It sets the standard for this item in those areas. My only concerns are durability Which I cannot assess at this time, and the higher costs Sitka products tend to command. That makes sales especially valuable to your customers.

This is a great for

This is a great for all seasons, early season it can be worn with a T-shirt for warm days. Mid to late season use it as a compliment to a vest or jacket. I’ve used it on still hunts on windy days when the temps are in the low 30’s. I would buy it again and plan to add the bottoms.

Best of the Sitka Core Merino line

The fit, comfort, and quality of the Core Merino 220 is very good. The pocket located on the chest is very handy, as are the thumb loops. It also breaths well, so if the weather is too warm for the shirt you might get hot, but not sweaty, which is nice.

Good so Far

I have only wore the merino 220 half zip a couple times, that’s why I give it 4 stars. However I combined this with the stratus jacket in 40 degree weather on a boat and didn’t get cold once. Highly recommend for a base layer it’s very comfortable.
