Today's elite mountaineering gear is tailored for hunters with an athletic build. I ordered the Core Merino 330 Half-Zip one size down to mazimize insulating value, save weight and pair well with my fitted Gore Windstopper shell. This is one of the best systems that I'm aware of for hunting at high elevations.

fits like a glove

I really like the higher neck and the no hoodie . i work outside and wear this with a heavier shirt and eliminate the jacket. The chest pocket can be eliminated.

Very warm, great base layer for when it’s below freezing, very comfortable. True to size for a base layer.

I wear it all the time, but not as heavy or thick

When I read 3 layer, I was expecting something a little heavier and a thicker material. It is about as thick as my Carhartt work shirt. It's very comfortable but not the weight or warmth I was expecting to get. Even on sale I think it's $50 overpriced.

What a wonderful mid weight addition to my hunting gear. I love the half zip I love the way that this garment feels on my skin. It is incredibly warm and is a must-have when it gets cooler.

Good base layer.

I layer this under the fanatic hoodie during deer season. Fits good and doesn’t itch.

Top drawer. This item is hunt worthy as well as daily wear. Under a jacket or under another additional layer and my Hudson this, is a very comfortable weather beater. I am a fan of one merino wool. Pills a little but so what. I bought a 2X. I’m 6’4, 250. Fits a little loose like I want it.

Warmth

the half zip is warm, love the chest pocket, i just wish it had pockets for you hands. unfortunately, it is starting to pile and show wear on the shoulders and back where my backpack sits. this is only after a few wears while wearing it as layer without a jacket on top! Sita quality use to be better. it has not effected the warmth of the 1/2 zip, so i can only knock off 1 star.

What a great base layer!

What a great base layer! I wore it for over 50 days of snowboarding this season. Great at regulating temperature and kept the stink at bay after daily use between washes. Washed up nicely, I always dried mine by hanging it up and never had any problems. Thanks.

Great baselayer

Fit well and keeps you warm. Not too impressed about the zip and although it fits overall, it is a bit tight around the neck.

True to size 5,8inch tall 160 pounds size large fit perfectly. Great for mid layer for extra warmth or even good for just going around town on a cool day. Looks good feels good.

This merino half zip has been a great addition to my whitetail and duck hunting clothing system. As someone who runs hot when moving, merino has been a game changer for all my hunts. I pair a synthetic short sleeve underneath and wick moisture when sweating and stay warm when I sit still.

this is a great product that keeps you warm and toasty. I just wish You would get the bottoms in that would match it. You seem to be always out in extra large.
