Very Disappointed
I own many pieces of Sitka gear for whitetail hunting and this is the first piece I've been disappointed with. It does not provide much warmth at all. On a positive note, it is comfortable and fits well.

Poor fit and too much polyester
The Core Merino 330 fits much different than the 220 or the 120. The 330 is baggy under the arms and fits very tight in the chest. For the money I would expect more Merino and less polyester (35% polyester, 45% or 55% Merino (I do not remember which) the remainder is nylon). The fit and quality of the 220 no 120 are worth the money, but not the 330 (in my opinion). Sitka made it easy to return and the refund was prompt.

Perfect Piece of Gear
The Core Merino 330 Hoodie is PERFECT. The first time I wore it was for Colorado Elk 3rd Rifle. All I wore was this with no base layer, temps started a bit under 30 and throughout the day went up to mid 40's probably, some breezy winds, but nothing crazy or sustained. I was completely comfortable with just this on (also was wearing a backpack and Mountain Optics Harness). It was warm enough early to keep me good while hiking, got a bit warm hiking later in the day, but the chest zipper is pretty deep so vented a good amount of heat using that. This is now my go to layer for anything outdoors. I just wore it this morning out shooting. Temps started again just below 30 and rose to 35 by the time I left. I had on a lighter zone merino base layer under it, maybe 200 weight, and was comfortable (temp and fit) the whole time outside, maybe 2 hours. I can't wait for the solid colors to come back in stock in the women's so I can pick one up for my wife. I'm 6' and 185lbs, the large fits great. Athletic cut so it's easy to move in without restriction and snug enough to throw a jacket on over it if needed. I can't say enough good things about it. My only negative is that after a month and a half of use the optifade subalpine pattern on my stomach is starting to fade some because I have a pistol attached to the bottom of the bino harness and it rubs while hiking. I would expect and hope for a little more durability at this price point. . .
