Great boots

I only have a few days on these boots so far but they are comfortable, light and seem like they should last a long time. The cleat system works well also.

Solid, comfortable, light yet burly.

Great boots, surprisingly light compared to my old tractors. True to size & fit great for wet wading in neoprene socks and waders. Quick draining & secure lacing system. ‘Sorta’ quick drying. Would be nice if they shipped with 1-2 extra cleats incase you loose one & don’t need an entire replacement set.

Fantastic boots

Really comfortable and padded. Lock down great with the laces and they have really good traction in slick mud and on rocks. Love the integrated cleat system and drainage holes. I waded in these here in the Southeast on a 2 mile hike for about half a day and they preformed great and are super lightweight. I’m a 10 1/2 in everything and got these in a size 11. They fit great with just a basic thin wading sock (not any movement or heal slip) as well as with a 5mm neoprene wade sock and the CrossCurrent stockingfoot fits them perfectly.

Boots are awesome!

Got these boots to replace my year old boots from Simms that are super slick. The metal cleats gripped great. I wore them with my Simms waders and they felt great. Not too heavy but really protective on the toes and comfortable. No slipping in the same river I had just been struggling to wade with old boots. Bought boots in same size as sneakers.

Great wading boots!

The CrossCurrent wading boot has been fantastic; great stability, easy to put on/take off, and very comfortable. The option to add/remove the metal cleats has provided very useful and provided great traction across a variety of wading conditions.

Nice boot but if you

Nice boot but if you have even a slightly wider foot than most I would suggest going up a size. . . . especially if you have 4-5mm stockingfoots/booties. Length was fine but they're skinny for a wading boot IMO.

Nice wading boot

True to size IMO but if you have even a slightly wide foot I would definitely suggest sizing-up if your waders have a 4mm or 5mm booty. They were crunching my foot something fierce with a normal boot sock on day one. Day two I wore a super thin dress sock and that was much better but still not ideal. I will likely just take out the insole and live with them like that. I normally wear a 10. 5D boot and I ordered an 11. . . . 12 would have been better I think.

On the fence

Was super stoked by these and made the purchase. I screwed up and got them too small. Brought them to the river but they were tight with my wader booties. Only boots I had so I worn them. They are tough, have good support and are light. But they are super slick on river rocks. I almost biffed it twice and the water wasn't raging. There is a different between rubber and Vibrum apparently which is on my other boots. These come with cleats which would make a big difference but I've never had to use them in the past. I do really like the feel of these boots other than their slickness. I'm sure once the tread gets a little scuffed up that will also help. But I screwed up with the sizes. By the end of the day my feet we're screaming to get out of the boots because they were too small. Now the decision is what to do with them. I wore them once so returning and sizing up I'm guessing is not an option. I usually wear a size 8 men's shoe so thought getting a size 9mens boot would work, but still too small. Ugh Guess I needed to go up 2 sizes. So seems like they run a little small.

Just a little small

The neoprene booties on the waders are (as one would expect, but as I failed to realize) very true to size. You definitely want to order up a size to make sure your feet aren't completely cramped while wearing the boots.

Finally got to wear my

Finally got to wear my CrossCurrent Wading Boots. They are incredibly delightful to walk in and the support is great. They handled everything my 8 mile wading trip could throw. From ice on trails, slippery rocks, and standing comfortably in current. I’m not great on writing reviews but for me stable, comfy, and rugged is a win.

I took a chance ordering

I took a chance ordering these after my local fly shop didn’t have my size in any other brand boots that I was looking at. With Sitka being so new to wading boots, I wasn’t too sure at first of their first pass for quality in the fly fishing world. Happy to say that these boots blow me away. More comfortable than anything else out there, stable in the current on slick rocks, and they fit like a damn glove. I absolutely love these boots. They are holding up well so far in the mud, water, and on small hikes to my fishing spots. Can’t go wrong with Sitka! Ordering one size up for stocking foot waders is the perfect fit.

Too Narrow

I have feet that are a bit wide at size 12 and wear size 14 in other wading boots so that I can comfortably wear an extra pair of wool socks when winter steelhead fishing. I tried the CrossCurrent size 14 on with my socks and they were much narrower than my other wading boots. There was no way I could fish in them so I returned them. Otherwise the boots appeared very well made.

Have used these now for three weeks of varied fly fishing, from extremely slippery to hiking in Estancia Christina, Argentina. They are comfortable, hold well and have great ankle support. Love the screw on cleats - bravo.
