Hands down, the best pants

Hands down, the best pants to own for fall and winter. Worn by themselves they’re great to about freezing. After that, paired with the core heavyweight I don’t need anything else. Also very comfortable to wear in waders. The only complaint is that I wish they made them in their other patterns for big game.

Is there a more perfect pant?

Durable, stretch, vented, lined - but not like the others, the lining and the face fabric are one.. they made them in a solid so they work for everything, the field, the blind, the treestand, they could be an insulation layer, they’re great for chores, splitting wood etc. if anything could make them better, add Windstopper and more solids AND patterns. The vents alone make them better/more versatile than the Stratus pants. Ducks, deer, turkey, late season mountains, they do it all. Can’t recommend them enough, I tell everyone who asks to get them in long size so if you are sitting in a tree stand or blind the pant legs stay down over your boots. I’m 6’ 195-210 and I use a 34T with 1 base layer under.

Favourite cold weather pant

Got these in Mud, wear them hunting but also wear them from everything to dog park to ATVing. Nice thing about mud is you can wear them around town and don’t feel like you just left the blind.

Phenomenal Pant

Awesome pant. I wear them in Sept for early goose all the way through late goose/duck season in January/February under my Hudson bibs. When I’m not hunting in them I’m teaching high school US History in them.

My favorite cold weather hunting pants! Very warm and tough. The 4 way stretch makes it easy to climb up to my treestand or in and out of the duck blind.

These pants are the best

These pants are the best I’ve tried for cold weather. They are true to size, feel as comfortable as sweatpants, are surprisingly durable, and warm. I don’t understand the two zippers for the crotch but it doesn’t bother me that it’s there.

Great pants, even for lounging around. Run long. Im normally 36w, 34 length and I got the 36R and they are perfect.

These are my favorite pair of pants and I use them for everything as soon as temperatures drop to a point where I can comfortable wear them (usually low 60's). Comfortable, durable and warm they are great for hang & hunts. I wish they came in every camo pattern.

Pant style and features are

Pant style and features are fantastic. These pants are what I have been searching for. The reason for only 4 stars is the length. I wasnt blessed with norse genetics so I'm on the shorter side. These pants fit great everywhere...but the length. If Sitka comes out with a short inseam I'll be the first in line to buy more. Until then...its a trip to the tailor.

Awesome pants. I use them for multiple hunting scenarios; upland, duck, elk, and deer. When the temp drops, wind blows and the snow flys in the cold northern states of Minnesota and Montana they are my go to gear.

From northern Minnesota I found these to be warm and comfortable while hunting waterfowl when chest waders were not used. The comfort of these this fall has made my decision to try these on the ice while fishing this winter. The really helped keep you warm while using them as a great layer. I also guide open water fishing season so will be wearing them in the early spring and fall days.

Buy them! These pants are great, it feels like wearing a part of sweat pants on steroids. The inside is soft and warm but the outside is durable while also being very flexible. If you want quality gear that will last a lifetime, pay the money. Only thing I would change is deeper pockets but that doesn’t affect my review at all. These pants are great.

I was worried about sizing.

I was worried about sizing. I was scared they would be too long but they fit perfect. I’m about 5’6 and 145 pounds and the 34R fit perfect. These are comfortable and warm. I can’t wait to wear them this season.

Buy these pants! Took me a year to save up for them. Money well spent. I wear them everyday. Running with the hounds, shoeing horses, hunting everything from Whitetail to Bighorn sheep. I wear them under my Carhartts while working on the pipeline for warmth during the Alberta winter. I’m 6’2, 210lbs and the 34T fit perfect.

Another very functional product from Sitka. Has been great for early season goose dry land hunting and liner under waders as it cools off. The 4 way stretch is very comfortable unlike any pant I’ve worn and still durable. I’m 6’ 175lbs with a measured 35” waist and the 34” regular is perfect.

I’ve been wearing Sitka gear

I’ve been wearing Sitka gear for 6 seasons now and these are my first experience with pants. They are as good as it gets. Sizing: I am 6’ 180lbs and normally wear a 34”-35” waist. The retailer had both 32” and 34” in stock so I was able to try both. The 32’s were just a bit snug but close. The 34” were perfect with a finger of room to spare. I tried on the Gradient pant also - fit was the same but the fleece lining on the Dakotas made them feel much more comfortable. Early goose season weather in Michigan can be all over the map but these have out performed every pant I’ve ever worn. At 66 I’ve seen the evolution from stiff waxed outer wear to Sitka. Lighter, high tech insulation, incredible zippers and zipper placement this stuff truly is gear not clothing. Once you try Sitka there is no going back. I have convinced a number of my hunting cronies to try Sitka and the comments are all the same: “wish I had tried this stuff sooner”.

These are extremely comfy and durable pants. The fit is great, and I love the amount of pockets, the knee vents, and the material. The have just enough stretch without feeling like sweat pants. I feel like I can wear these every day during season and they will last the test of time.

Nice pants. They’re very comfortable

Nice pants. They’re very comfortable and fit very well. I love the little bit of insulation they have and they keep me warm in freezing when paired with a heavy weight base layer pant inside my insulated breathable waders. Although they are not the absolute warmest wader pants out there, but I give that up for the durable shell of these pants which looks nice and works well for an outer layer on not so brutal field and dry land hunts. Only real gripe is for me they run a touch long in the inseam compared to other Sitka pants.

These have become my go

These have become my go to every day pants when the weather gets anywhere close to cold. I am 6'5, 260lbs and had to go up a waist size to fit comfortably in the legs. But the stretchy fabric and fleece lined inside is like wearing a pair of sweatpants with a thicker outer shell. Amazing pair of winter pants, and fit great under waders.

I love these pants...warm and

I love these pants...warm and comfortable. My only gripe with them is the same gripe I've heard from anyone else who owns these...why not make them in big game camo patterns? I mentioned this to someone at Sitka once on the phone, and his comment was that a layering system is more ideal for big game hunters, so it's more suited for bird hunters. Guess what...bird hunters layer too, so that makes no sense. Sometimes when it's really cold, it's nice to have that extra fleece layer without piling into 17 different pairs of britches! Maybe I want a base layer and a fleece lined pant for a really cold day of deer or elk hunting late season? Why is that so hard to understand? Also, I love that these pants don't have those stupid gimmicky knee pads! Yes, I know the knee pads are removable from the big game pants, but it still leaves extra bulky layers around the knees due to the sleeve where you slide the knee pad into. Plus I don't want to pay for a knee pad I'm just going to remove anyway. Let's be honest...90 percent of us don't use the knee pads anyway, and at best they are really only useful for archery hunters that have to sneak in extra close. Archery season is early in the year, so why do the Timberline pants need knee pads? My suggestion to Sitka: Either offer these pants in big game patterns and recognize that late season big game hunts can be really cold, or remove the stupid knee pads from the Timberline pants, and add the fleece liner to them instead. Maybe you need to try a late season hunt in Wyoming or Montana and see how cold it gets if you really don't understand???

Absolutely the best pair of

Absolutely the best pair of pants I have ever worn. I live and hunt in Alaska and during the day, I might sweat a little but at night I'm the only comfy one. Super durable. Best pants Sitka has made hands down. Best bang for your buck too.

I bought a set of

I bought a set of these for late season upland hunting in MN and ND and so far they’ve been great. Was a bit apprehensive about the price at first but they’ve been proving to be well worth it.

I am an upland bird

I am an upland bird hunter so this review is based on that pursuit. I bought these for those late season roosters in MN, SD, & ND. I am also a tall hunter 6'3' and the longs fit perfect for me. I am also an athletic fit at 190, if this information helps in your purchase. I like the ability to layer wil these pant. Cool days I can wear no base layer and stay nice and warm. On those single digit days and wind in the teens I can layer and achieve the same warmth. Highly recommend.
