High priced quality, without the price tag

With 3 boys growing ever so quickly, keeping them up with quality gear that fits, at a competitive price is a hard task to achieve. My boys and I have been using Sitka products for many years, except they’ve always had to use waders from others due to size and budget restrictions. I’m happy to say, the GTX waders quickly rose to the top spot on Santa’s list last Christmas. The durability and wide range of sizes gives them opportunity to earn their forever wader.

Delta GTX Wader

Waterfowl biologist that bought these waders for a work trip to Kodiak, AK. First impression is they held up great and I expect they will for some time. Warm feet and never slipped once of slippery shoreline rocks. In hindsight I should have ordered the L 12, I went with the M 11. Boot is snug but comfortable, probably can’t wear thick socks. Wader fits well but tight behind the knees while walking or sitting.

Waders

The boots are super comfortable. Waders are true to size and fit great. Very lightweight. That being said as far as sitting down they’re not warm on the legs but sc hunting doesn’t get quite as cold so it’s bearable. Standing in icey water isn’t bad as far as warmth goes. Durable waders nonetheless! Highly recommend

Great product

This was the first pair of waders I’ve ever owned. I’ve borrowed others of a different brand and I prefer Sitka’s hands down. Personally I like being able to layer up versus built in thermals. Fantastic product that I’ve used to hunt in a multitude of environments.

Impressive and Versatile

Gave these a try after my hand-me-down waders sprung a leak. Was reluctant to spend this much on a wader but thought this was a very fair price once considering the material cost and how well thought out and comfortable they are. (Many goretex pro ski bibs are $1000 or more and don’t have boots included) I probably put them through 15 hunts during the second half of my duck/goose season and hunted in temperatures ranging from -10 to 40 degrees. I kayaked in them, hiked in over a mile in them, and waded through frozen/slushy tidal marsh. I was dry and comfortable the whole time. The mud I hunted in gets everywhere and stains everything, being that I was in saltwater conditions I rinsed them after each hunt. I followed Sitka’s washing instructions with Granger products at the end of season and they look out of the box new. The one improvement I could hope for would be offering a boot in half sizes. Other than that I am thrilled with the wader and expect them to be the last wader I buy for quite a few years.

Size up, great waders

The old Sitka wader sprang a leak on opening day, so I sent it in for repair. I then purchased a new GTX to get through the season. I have always worn a size 10 in Sitka, but this size 10 was way too tight. quickly switched to size 11 and was good to go. Size up compared to older Sitka waders. The new boot is more comfortable.
