Nice jacket, but not that much different than cheaper options. I would probably prefer this jacket over cheaper rain coats slightly as it is a bit lighter but for the extra $300+ it is not worth it. It is not that much quieter and lighter. I returned and will be using a much cheaper jacket for very similar quality.

Bought for use in moderate to heavy rain either over a puffy in colder weather or stand alone when warmer. Jacket is lighter than I thought but has remained waterproof through a couple of long, wet days out in the field and it also wicked fairly well considering it was essentially inundated the whole time with the heavy rain. Dries out very quickly and packs small which is an added bonus. Got the size 2XL which has arms long enough for me at 6’7” tall. No complaints with this jacket!!

True to Sitka, this rain gear is absolutely lights out bomber with a great yet functional, minimalist feature list to be ultra efficient and effective at its intended job. The Dew Point Jacket is so well made, so effective at keeping me dry, and so light and packable there is never really a reason to leave it out of my pack. I highly recommend the Dew Point Jacket as it seems to be a higher quality with better fit and finish that other rain gear I have had and used in the past.

It's light, and windproof as you'd expect but it's soft and fits well. I use this for fishing rain gear and it keeps me dry, also didn't expect is it held in my heat well too. I got XXL which usually runs big on me but this actually fits tighter than others. I have few layers underneath so if you plan on having thick layers probably size up

The Dew Point Jacket provides lightweight waterproof and windproof protection. Exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a size LARGE. The fit allows me to add a lightweight fleece layer underneath when temps drop. The pit-zips maximize body temp regulation. Overall, it is a good three-season shell jacket. This jacket is a great shell to have. I use it when working as a trim carpenter in construction and also when smashing woodies on the river here in South Georgia. I found the jacket half price in the outlet and also bought the pants to have a complete set. As I stated in my review in the pants that I thought the material was too thin but after using iit the jacket kept me 100% dry. The material is tougher than I thought. In very rough on all my gear, and I do mean rough! Buy this jacket and get the pants if possible. This is a great addition to any wadrobe. I love the pit dumps if you get too hot.

Knocked a star off because the jacket is a bit louder than I expected it to be. Not sure if I’d want to archery hunt while wearing it. But, it did great on our rifle deer hunt. Kept me dry in the rain and warm in the cold. The hood is a little tight around my head for my preference, but it’s a keeper for sure. I had stayed away from Sitka due to cost but I see now why people love their gear.
