Doesn't Get Much Better

These pants are awesome. I wore them in a Long range precision class in Idaho a few weeks ago because it was monsoon levels of rain on day 1. These pants kept me bone dry and cleaned up easily after laying on the ground with them. They are worth every penny. I just wish that Sitka would make some more gear that is tailored to LEO/MIL/tactical customers. I normally would have bought an XL, but since I figured that these pants would go on over my other pants, I purchased the XXL. They were a perfect size to go over my other pants.

Great rain pant for tougher rain conditions

These pants were a godsend for the first week of moose season in Maine 2026. With a Nor’easter bearing down on northern Maine and arriving at the first break of day on the first Monday of the first of two weeks in Maine moose season, it was time to put these into action. While my Cabelas rainy coat kept me mostly dry in the torrential rain and windy conditions, my Sitka gloves not at all and my Danner boots failing miserably the Sitka pants I had rush delivered for this reason kept my legs bone dry hiking for 13 hours in nonstop rainy conditions and soaking wet brush. Like other reviews have mentioned and like my other Sitka rain coats they are a little loud walking (in fact louder than my other Sitka rain gear) so are not ideal for stalking hearing sensitive game. As others also have noted they are true to size and mostly tight fitting leaving only room for a thin pair of warm undergarment —certainly won’t be layered over other pants etc but that’s why I have Sitka winter rain gear as well— but cut strangely wide in the thigh area creating an area of loose garment and odd silhouette if you’re fashion conscious. The zippered pockets which are minimal to minimize points of water intrusion are quite water tight/resistant. Comes with the minimalist Sitka belt but option for suspenders which would be recommended. I Purchased a size medium: I am 5’10”, fit, 180# and typically wear a 33x30 pant and these fit snug and comfortable with good length and no excess space in the waist for comparison of your size recommendation During the successful moose hunt (48”, 1000# yeah!) these served wonderfully for the two rainy days especially when paired the second day with waterproof neoprene boots My legs and feet were as dry as could be with no significant sweating issues during the two long days of hiking and glassing in the rain. I do not see any signs of wear or tear after trudging thru thick Maine briars and branches and bogs and will be very happy with these on rainy hunts in the future as long as silent stalking is not necessary and the temps are not too cold. I am a Sitka fan and am usually quite satisfied with what I have purchased. These are no exception. Tightening up the excessive thigh area, figuring out a way to quiet them down a bit and including suspenders with the high purchase price and these are a hands down five star as long as they hold up. Quite satisfied.

Great pants. Runs a little small. They need a size between medium and large I am a 32 waist the mediums fit great over a pair of pants but no extra room for layering. Bought the larges which were baggy but allowed room to layer puffy pants under

Dew Point Pro Pant

Best waterproof hunting paint I have ever owned. While walking through the high grass during my moose hunt after a week of straight rain. My under layer was completely dry every day. Couldn’t be more pleased with the product, plan to order a second pair. Not to mention there very light weight too.

Spectacular

I’ve been really impressed with Sitka. I received a set of their rain gear as a tip from a client, and after some use the zipper stopped working. I reached out expecting a bit of a process, but their customer service was excellent—quick response, no hassle, and they sent me a replacement right away. What really stood out was how easy they made it. No runaround, just solid support. On top of that, the gear itself performs great in wet conditions. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product like that. I’ll definitely keep buying Sitka. As a guide I recommend Sitka all the time, over anything else. My favorite saying is 'when you buy something else it just makes your Sitka product more expensive. '

Great protection from water

Although I have a few different Sitka rain gear options, this new set is dedicated to my fishing boat. I no longer have to worry about water splashing while moving from fishing spot to fishing spot or when caught in a storm.

Great fabric weird cut

Heavy waterproof pants that hold up to abuse in brush. 3/4 zip makes it easy to get them on with boots. The cut is just weird. Super baggy butt and tight calves. It would also be amazing to have an integrated gaiter which these do not have.

Dew Point Pro Pant

I've not had a chance to try these our, but the Dew Point Pro Pant (Rain Pants) seem to be very well made. They have the weight and feel of a professional piece of rain gear and you won't mistake these for some kind of "packable" rain gear. I normally try items on at local sporting good stores, but I couldn't find these so took my chances. They seem to fit just a bit small in the waist - at least to me, and while I normally wear a large in pants, I ordered an XL to ensure I had enough room for clothing underneath - not my first rodeo (or rain storm!). :) Of the top four or five brands, I have found Sitka to be the top brand across the board - there are of course a few items where another of the top three brands may fit just a bit better or have characteristics that stand out from a personal perspective, but I have come to trust Sitka - they have not let me down!

Kept me Dry!!

Hunting in the PNW can be a wet adventure. Opening day of Elk this year it rained 2 1/2”!! If my boots could have kept me as dry as my Sitka Dew Point Jacket and Pants it would have been a great day! I bought both pants and jacket on the bigger side so I could layer underneath and it worked out great!

Alaska-Grade

The perfect Alaska and Canada rain gear. It's super durable and can handle the brush and rocks. The cut, such as a longer coat tail and extended hood, are perfectly thought out for spending long hours, or days, sitting in the rain. It doesn't pack as small or light as the regular Dew Point, but being comfortable in the most uncomfortable weather is worth the little extra weight and space. It does run big, assumingly to fit other layers underneath and perhaps be more comfortable during long hours sitting??

They work great for wet conditions! BUT you midoswell hoot your horn if you plan on walking up to any animal within a half km. Wished they had a quieter finish for the pricetag! Meeting you's halfway on rating.

Awesome pants stayed dry and they are very comfortable when it’s raining. But if it’s just slightly drizzling or not raining they can be a little bit noisy

Great Pants

I haven’t worn them yet, but they look and feel very rugged and durable. I can’t wait to put them through the test here in the rainforest where I live and hunt.

Short Hunters

I know the length would be long, but Sitka should consider making pant lengths less than 32" for people that have bigger waist than medium sized pants.

The pants first test was

The pants first test was a DIY caribou hunt in the Brooks range of Alaska. The weather would go from mist to rain to snow and back to sun. This allowed me to test the pants in several types of weather and wet environments that tough gear is a must. I was very impressed.

Built for the storm

Just picked up the Sitka Dew Point Pro Bibs and I’m super impressed. Tougher than the originals with 75D fabric and reinforced knees, but still breathable and packable. Great fit, legit waterproofing, and smart features like full side zips and real pockets. Worth the extra weight for serious hunts.
