I bought this for my

I bought this for my husband as a birthday gift for hunting. We live in east Idaho and he used for elk and deer hunting last season. He said it fit great (true to size) and felt high quality and durable. Very dry and waterproof. The shell is ideal for him, he wears a puffy jacket underneath and likes that he can remove layers if he gets too warm.

Great jacket, great service from Sitka!

Great protection from pouring rain

Jacket fits good and offers lots of protection from rain or splashing water. I use mine while fishing from a boat and the splashing while moving spot to spot is no longer an issue for me.

Loud and thin

Was a lot thinner than I thought it would be, kinda spendy for just getting a shell. Also pretty loud when moving around.

Insanely Good

This jacket is nuts. It's a great extra layer/ wind breaker when you're planning to do some walking in less than ideal weather, as it protects and breaths very well. However, it really shines in the when the sun don't. I wa son a hunting trip in Venice LA and on our way back from a solid morning (7 man), we were hit with a MASSIVE storm that had rolled right off the gulf. I've never experienced something so violent. For an hour we were assaulted by wind and rain as we made our run back to camp. However, once I was inside and took off the jacket. I was bone dry. I couldnt not recoomend this jacket more. . .

Great piece of gear!

Great fit and waterproof! Seems very durable. Love it, use it for fishing and hunting. As you would expect from Sitka.

Dew Point Pro

Great Jacket! I have several of the regular Dew Point Jackets. This one is thicker, more durable, more suitable for heavy rain and used over a mid layer in harsh weather or high altitude. Would love to see more color options

Great Raincoat, but it's too Noisy

Great Raincoat, but too stiff & noisy for hunting. It's fine for getting to and from a hunting area, but actually hunting in it. Camo pattern is excellent

Warrant replacement

Unfortunately, it was not nearly the quality as the one that was replaced. The other one had a nice liner inside of it and was quiet and just felt heavier. This one seems to be thin and more like a windshield was happy that they took it as a warranty replacement

Sitka dew point pro jacket

Great jacket - I am excited to wear in some rough weather. . It is sized very large - even if wearing multiple layers under it. I returned it for a smaller size

Dew Point Jacket

I’m 6’7” 200lbs. I ordered an XLT. It fits well. I plan to take it elk hunting in Colorado. Haven’t tried it yet. A bit noisy. Very packaged. Looking forward to trying it out.

Sizing

I use Xl in all of my Sitka suits, the point pro XL is like a 2xl or bigger. Had to return and get a smaller size. Great warrenty and great suits.

Kept me dry!

Hunting in the PNW can be a wet adventure. Opening day of Elk this year it rained 2 1/2”!! If my boots could have kept me as dry as my Sitka Dew Point Jacket and Pants it would have been a great day! I bought both pants and jacket on the bigger side so I could layer underneath and it worked out great!

Durability

Very durable product that definitely runs large. Big pockets and easily accessed vents.

Great jacket

Being a bigger guy finding a quality rain jacket is hard to come by. The reviews advised it runs large and it was exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t had a chance to wear it in rain due to JUST receiving the order but with Goretex being involved it will no doubt stand up to the reputation.

it’s definitely big but the term “Expedition Fit” would lead me to believe you’re supposed to have a large jacket/ a ton of insulation under this jacket. if you’re wearing minimal layers under it it’s going to be way to big and you should size down. with the HyperDown Puffy under this jacket it fits fine. this thing is absolutely bulletproof. feels like a set of waders, nothing like the OG Dew Point.

Haven’t tried them in the field let. But both fit great for my outer layer.

Great waterproof jacket

The jacket keeps you dry as advertised, no complaints there. In my honest opinion, the jacket lacks functionality in the field. The material is noisy and would make it hard to sneak around in any kind of brush. The fit seems to run a bit on the big size, good if you plan on laying up underneath. Would be nice if the sleeves were tapered at the wrist, it has a Velcro strap but fits awkwardly when pulled tight.

Excellent quality, big sizing

Quality is excellent. Big step up from previous dew point. Sizing runs big. I wear XL in other Sitka items. 5’9 190 athletic. Went with large and it is big but perfect for layering with a puffy underneath.

Sturdier Rain Gear

Appreciate the more durable material. My regular dew point had pin holes from picker bushes and leaked. A bit noisy but I'll take the noise for increased durability. Runs big.

Sizing is way different from

Sizing is way different from any other Sitka gear you may have. Size down if ordering. I got a jacket for a hunt and didn’t try it on before we left, big mistake! Will double as a tarp in an emergency! Seems to be more durable than previously purchased gear.

Crazy Size!

Quality is excellent! Hardcore tough GTX shell perfect for our Alaskan adventures. But the sizing!! I’m 6’ tall and 175 lbs and have 5 or 6 other shells from Sitka and all in L size, just big enough to wear an insulated layer under. These came SOOOO big! I would say XXL. You got to be 220 lbs and 6’2” to fit a Large!

Important Note on Sizing — Not Quality

This review is less about the jacket’s build quality (which is excellent) and more about the sizing inconsistencies I’ve experienced with Sitka gear. The jacket itself is a tank. It’s rugged enough to handle serious brush busting without hesitation, and it’s packed with features that make it ideal for tough conditions. That said, the velcro placement on the sleeves is a bit of a design miss, it doesn’t allow for a tight cinch. The sizing is outrageous. The jacket is labeled as expedition fit, but that seems to translate to tent-sized. I run large in all Sitka jackets (42” chest), but this jacket fits more like an XXL. It could literally double as a tarp for you and your hunting buddy. If you’re considering it, I’d strongly recommend sizing down, maybe even two sizes depending on your build. It would be beneficial if Sitka offered more detailed sizing information, such as fit comparisons to other garments or encouraged reviewers to share chest and inseam measurements. This approach would align more accurately with Sitka’s sizing charts than relying on users sharing their height and weight. Providing this level of detail would help online shoppers make more informed decisions, especially since international returns and exchanges can be costly. Overall, quality jacket for users in wet and unforgiving terrain, but size down.
